This restaurant used to be good. We just had their Dandy boy. It has been downgraded. The meat was disgusting. The texture of the bun , was tough ,like it had been microwaved
Their chicken used to be really good. Now it's hit or miss. It's not good.

An old establishment but still hot food!I went for the famous chicken, yet a country fried steak (chicken fried?) was on special.Challenge accepted, a multi state menu option.Came with mashed potatoes and gravy, and coleslaw, both on styrofoam containers. The “steak” tasted more like the styrofoam than steak, whatever it was, but the coleslaw, home made since the 70s at least was just as good always, and the mashed potatoes and gravy rivaled KFC in texture and taste! (Give me a straw)So the steak, was more like the pork tenderloin ubiquitous in this state, and thin as the plate. Served with some heavy duty plastic utensils (look for them in the back of your to go container) .Warm food, they cooked it fine, not the biggest or best country fried meat I have ever had.

Would be nice if they were open on a regular basis. Open this time but has been closed three times I went before! They have great chicken dinners! Mac and cheese could use a "re-vamp". Bland tasting, maybe more cheese in the sauce.

Getting TOO expensive. Portion are getting smaller including the size of the chicken. They are using cheaper ingredients which is affecting the quality of thier food.Miss the OLD great quality food!!!

Great food
Got a dandy with bacon, fries and Mac and cheese. It reminded me of high-school cafeteria food... or prison food. It was not horrible if you enjoy those things.
Wouldn't do a 4 piece dark. The colony was way better.
