We love CCC! Sue is the best. Their cakes are wonderful! We had Capital City make our wedding cake, and have enjoyed using them for special occasions ever since then. This was a cake Sue made for my husband’s 40th yesterday. Everyone raved about it!

Capital City Cakes did an amazing job for our granddaughter's 13th birthday cake! The design was flawless. From the colors, to the rainbow, to the gold platter, absolutely flawless. The cake was deliciously moist and the icing, even the fondant was spectacular! Everyone, adults and kids, were commenting on how wonderful it was. They are amazing and we are so grateful for them and the time they take to make events so special.

We are a sheet cake a 2 tier cake for our wedding. A month ago we canceled the sheet cake and got a cheap one from costco. 2 days before our wedding day they call to confirm we have a cake topper... they didnt even show up with the cake. They never made our cake. Wouldn't even answer the phone that day either... Thank god we had the costco cake which was delicious.They claim we canceled the whole order, makes no sense when they confirm with us 2 days before our wedding. We had to call to get our refund.They didn't even apologize

I wanted to have a special cake made for my twin sister on her bday. I live in NC and reached out to Capital City bc I know she has had cakes from them before. Great customer service and fast responses as we messaged through email. They made and otter cake that met all my expectations! I was thrilled with how it turned out and it was her favorite flavor...snickerdoodle! 5stars from me!.

My experience with this place was terrible! I paid $250 for a Lego themed birthday cake that ended up being 5 inches of fondant and and 3 inches of cake. It was barely edible.The cake was not the flavor that I asked for and the design looked nothing like what I discussed with the designer. I tried to contact the owner to express my frustration and got nothing. Save your money!!!

Capital City Cakes did a phenomenal job with making my daughter's first birthday cake. I will definitely be ordering from them again and could not have been more happier with how everything turned out. Great business and even more wonderful people, thank you so very much for making her first birthday say memorable!

Capital city cakes did a wonderful job with our wedding cake. It was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious! We also ordered 3 different flavors of cupcakes for our guest and they were a hit! We knew we loved their deserts and wanted to go with them the moment we got engaged as they are local to us and we would shop there often. My only regret was not getting to eat more of it! I highly recommend them for your wedding/any event.

Capital City Cakes did my wedding cake ( 7.30.22) I gave them a picture of what I wanted and they nailed it ! Made it exactly like the picture!!! It was Beautiful, and tasted amazing! My guests commented on how beautiful and delicious it was too. I had 5 tiers different flavor fillings. The staff at the bakery are awesome! Always pleasant , happy to answer questions , informative , and helpful. I had to reschedule my wedding twice due to Covid and then due to death of family member. They worked with me to reschedule. Gary and Diane the owners are super nice, down to earth people. You’re not just a number , you are customer/friend! They are making cakes for great grandchildren of their customers because of repeat business ..Capital City Cakes is my go to bakery for everything!

My husband and I LOVED our wedding cake!! All the staff at Capital City were receptive, friendly, and flexible. They even worked with us on a last minute delivery time change for the wedding day. Cake tasting and ordering was easy. Thank you!

I'm so glad my husband and I went with Capital City Cakes for our wedding. We had a two tiered cake to cut into, plus two sheet cakes. We went with several different flavors, so there was something for everyone! They delivered the cake several hours before the wedding and decorated the cake with flowers provided by our florist. The cake was delicious and I was happy to have leftovers!

Two stars may be too generous. The cake tasted great and that's where the two stars come in. The experience and look of this cake was awful. This was supposed to be a "23" made out of flowers and we asked for some fondant when we placed the order. When I picked up the cake, there were 3 tiny pieces of fondant about 1 cm each. So I brought this up and the woman remarked that I shouldn't be stressed about this and took the cake to the back and added these hideous blue fondant flowers at the top and bottom of the cake. When she gave the boxed cake back to me, there was red/pink frosting stuck on the bottom of the box so that, in turn, stained my car seat. This was just an awful experience. I had such high expectations especially after spending $52 on a cake and it looked like this.It was indescribable, my feeling when I took this cake to the party. Everyone was speechless and couldn't even tell what was on top, the mess of flowers. I rarely ever leave a negative review but this was beyond acceptable.

ThIs business is not dependable!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a cake for our granddaughter’s second birthday. We were told that the cost would be $35. They asked us to send pictures of what we wanted and we did. They took our credit card info and said that if they couldn’t do it or if it would cost more they would contact us that day. Two days later (a day before the part) they left a voice message saying they were canceling the order. That left us with one day to make a new plan. I called and complained, and they said they would honor my order. They said I would not have to pay, and thank you for your patience. They said we will do the cake. I said it can be bit simpler but no flowers or roses. We can be flexible.We just picked up the cake. They said “it was paid for”. I looked at it…we asked, there were flowers (what we specifically asked them not to do) not what we asked for and no “2” which we specifically asked for. What’s worse….they charged me twice what they quoted me!!!! They quoted $35 and they charged me $70!!! For a plain 8 inch round cake with a few roses around the edge. Here’s a picture of what we asked for which would be well worth $70. And this is what we got. (See pictures) I mean what we got we could get anywhere for $20 max. Not worth $70. No special design. You cannot count on this business to be there and show up for your special day. They don’t have the business ethic or the resources. I have lived in Grove City my whole life….love this town. But this business does not have our values. Not at all. We show up for each other. This business does not. I would have been fine with this ordinary cake had they charged me $35. But seriously, what Grove City resident would be good with paying $70 for this??? Not one of us. This business does not care.
