We love CCC! Sue is the best. Their cakes are wonderful! We had Capital City make our wedding cake, and have enjoyed using them for special occasions ever since then. This was a cake Sue made for my husband’s 40th yesterday. Everyone raved about it!

Capital City Cakes did an amazing job for our granddaughter's 13th birthday cake! The design was flawless. From the colors, to the rainbow, to the gold platter, absolutely flawless. The cake was deliciously moist and the icing, even the fondant was spectacular! Everyone, adults and kids, were commenting on how wonderful it was. They are amazing and we are so grateful for them and the time they take to make events so special.

We are a sheet cake a 2 tier cake for our wedding. A month ago we canceled the sheet cake and got a cheap one from costco. 2 days before our wedding day they call to confirm we have a cake topper... they didnt even show up with the cake. They never made our cake. Wouldn't even answer the phone that day either... Thank god we had the costco cake which was delicious.They claim we canceled the whole order, makes no sense when they confirm with us 2 days before our wedding. We had to call to get our refund.They didn't even apologize

I wanted to have a special cake made for my twin sister on her bday. I live in NC and reached out to Capital City bc I know she has had cakes from them before. Great customer service and fast responses as we messaged through email. They made and otter cake that met all my expectations! I was thrilled with how it turned out and it was her favorite flavor...snickerdoodle! 5stars from me!.

They charged me $31 for a 7" inch cake that was disgusting! The cake itself was stale loaded with icing! It was for my mother's 75th birthday! I called to let them know how bad the cake was (not asking for my money back) but considered myself a loyal patron. They didn't even have the decency to call me back and apologize! I can't even believe that I met them in the Hobby Lobby parking lot to pick up my cake (how ridiculous that was). My experience with this place was terrible! I paid $250 for a Lego themed birthday cake that ended up being 5 inches of fondant and and 3 inches of cake. It was barely edible.The cake was not the flavor that I asked for and the design looked nothing like what I discussed with the designer. I tried to contact the owner to express my frustration and got nothing. Save your money!!!

Capital city cakes did a wonderful job with our wedding cake. It was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious! We also ordered 3 different flavors of cupcakes for our guest and they were a hit! We knew we loved their deserts and wanted to go with them the moment we got engaged as they are local to us and we would shop there often. My only regret was not getting to eat more of it! I highly recommend them for your wedding/any event.

Capital City Cakes did my wedding cake ( 7.30.22) I gave them a picture of what I wanted and they nailed it ! Made it exactly like the picture!!! It was Beautiful, and tasted amazing! My guests commented on how beautiful and delicious it was too. I had 5 tiers different flavor fillings. The staff at the bakery are awesome! Always pleasant , happy to answer questions , informative , and helpful. I had to reschedule my wedding twice due to Covid and then due to death of family member. They worked with me to reschedule. Gary and Diane the owners are super nice, down to earth people. You’re not just a number , you are customer/friend! They are making cakes for great grandchildren of their customers because of repeat business ..Capital City Cakes is my go to bakery for everything!

Purchased 72 cupcakes for a surprise going away party. I was thankful they were able to get them done for me on short notice(a week and a half). However, being a returning customer, the cupcakes were not the gourmet ones promised or like the ones they sell in their shop. Everyone at the party kept asking me if I made the cupcakes and were shocked they were from Capital City Cakes. They were not worth $2.75 each. I asked for whipped icing and rose gold sprinkles and did not get either. The cake was just so disappointing as were the decorations. Sent email to the owner and they stated they were off for a week and did not get any response. I was so thankful I ordered toppers for the cupcakes so I could dress them up a bit. I will not be recommending them or using them for any event in the future.

I'm so glad my husband and I went with Capital City Cakes for our wedding. We had a two tiered cake to cut into, plus two sheet cakes. We went with several different flavors, so there was something for everyone! They delivered the cake several hours before the wedding and decorated the cake with flowers provided by our florist. The cake was delicious and I was happy to have leftovers!
