I ordered a cake for my husband online to be picked up on Friday. When I went to the store to pick up, the cake was decorated exactly as I had asked. Later in the night when we were celebrating his birthday we cut into his cake and there was no filling inside as I had requested. The cake was also very dry. I called the bakery to explain that we were missing the filling and talk about the cake quality and was treated very poorly by the rude worker answering the phone. I ended up just hanging up. These cakes are too expensive to be wrong, poor quality and then adding subpar customer service to it? Giant eagle has always been the go to for cakes, however it will no longer be an option for us.

I ordered a birthday cake through the bakery online. When I picked up the cake it was decorated very nice. However looks can be deceiving. The cake was STALE and very dry it was not fresh… it was like bitting into a sponge and guests would not eat it. It was an embarrassing moment on my Bday to have a bad cake. I was very disappointed that this was allowed to go out. I expected to have a great cake experience and did not. Giant Eagle Bakery please do better with your customers receiving a fresh cake!

I’m disabled at this time so husband is shopping for me. First they couldn’t get our Giant Eagle card ( that we use all the time) and then charged us $11.99 each for items on sale for $6.99. When he asked about correcting the price and our discount, he was told no One could go anything and he’d have to come back tomorrow to get it corrected. He asked to Just void the purchase and was told they couldn’t do that. So I called and was told there’s no manager and nothing could be done. When I asked to void the entire purchase, after much discussion I was told he would do that. The $82 is already listed as pending, we will see what happens. We have gone to Giant Eagle since it opened, we will Not be back.

worst experience ever tonight. I left next door from getting my hair cut. her clock said it was 8:20. I went in to get medicine because I was in pain from dental work. the woman. working said they close in 4 min..I told her I didnt knowing was that late..as I walked to the aisle with pain med which is un the front she yells at me to hurry up. I told her there was no reason to be so rude. then I said forget it, she said ok bye took my cart and put it with the rest w/o cleaning btw. when I got to my car it was 8:53. I've NEVER had anyone be so rude, my previous experience has always been very pleasant. there is never a reason to be that rude.

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful employees of Giant Eagle on Stringtown Rd. during this Covid19 ordeal this store is always clean, the staff is helpful and following all the guidelines. I have been able to shop for items and the store has 98% of my grocery shopping needs. Thank You Giant Eagle for bringing a little normalcy during these times and I am grateful for all your hard work.
