As usual, good doughnuts. Although later in the day they do not taste as fresh (makes sense). The atmosphere reflects back to the 1950's or so. The outside sign appears original. It is located at a busy intersection. Be careful when attempting to leave the parking lot. The decor leaves something to be desired. Yet the spot does its job... Offering a reasonably good product that makes the taste buds very happy!

The best fresh donuts. They don't seem to be making as much as in the past and I believe the donuts are a little smaller .

Disappointed Diner

I purchased a glazed devil's food doughnut that was incredibly dried out. $1.45 for a what is clearly at least a day old? Disgraceful.

All I can say is yuk. Walking in it smells like PlayDoh. And the donuts tasted exactly like it smells. I bought a dozen and regret it after the first one. I don’t know what happened to this place but it’s definitely not a good spot anymore

No cream filling in their long John donuts??? Absolutely not. I have said my whole life that JPD has the best donuts. Not anymore. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day?

Not your typical over priced / trendy donut shop. Jolly Pirate is the longest operating food location in GC. I’ve been eating donuts from here since I was 3 years old and it’s always been a go to for me and my family. Aside from the fantastic donuts they have excellent cakes, muffins, and cinnamon roles. Lastly I don’t know who’s makes the banana bread but they deserve a round of applause! I’d leave a picture but I already ate it.

I walked in at around 3:35 on Wednesday. No one was at the register. I yelled a few times but it didn't seem like anyone was there. I saw someone in the back sweeping but I think they had headphones on and couldn't hear me, so I left. I'll try coming back later.

I've had to change my review from 6 yrs ago. In that time, the changes the current owners have made has lower the quality of the donuts. None of them taste the same as 6 yes ago. The most recent stop this past week showed us the size of the glazed donuts aren't worth the price. The vanilla cream-filled donuts are in name only as the filling is barely in the donuts.

That visit was the last one for my household. The hunt for a new donut/bakery has started. Good bye Jolly pirate.
