put an online takeout order and didnt get my order until i walked up to the counter and asked even though there is a pickup section. that being said, the drink cups are right next to the drinks area and the employees seem super busy so if you catch my drift, i got compensated for my waiting

Ordering experience here is an absolute nightmare. All of the kiosks work like an iPad from 2009, you have to punch each button literally 10 times to make a selection. We tried all three kiosks and all were garbage. It's been this way since we started coming in June of 23. You have to keep this little quarter of a receipt that has a QR code on it in order to get your own drink, it's pretty insulting and pathetic. The food was great, that's why we come. We know the service is going to be horrific before we arrive, but the burgers are awesome, so we come. If the service wasn't such a disservice we would come a lot more often

I went through drive threw an ordered a number 1 Large size and a number 2 regular size but without pickel at 7:06 pm. When your crew member handed us the order she practically threw it at us and then walked away from us while we were asking for another bag. So we didn't check our bag right away and then when I did the second sandwich which was the number 2 without pickle was not in the bag. So we called and the manger happened to answer the phone and I gave my ticket number 674 and the details of the mistake of the missing sandwich. At first it seemed like she was going to do right but after she placed me on hold and came back to the phone she came back with an attitude saying her flag shift crew or something had made and bag the food so there was no mistake made and people call in all the time trying to do this and get free food. We tried to tell her we had no reason to lie as much as we had paid for the food and we were not hard up for food or money and she got cute and started getting nasty with us so we went back and fourth when all she had to so was honor the loss of the missing sandwich that we paid for. I expect for you to honor me as a costumer and you to repremed your manager accordingly.

[We went on 12/29/2024 4:10pm] Honestly I’m having a very mixed feeling about this location, the girl who took out order was amazing, super sweet and got everything down (I went with my cousin and we placed 2 separate orders), however when we got up to the window, you could very clearly see that the people working there were high, the guy asked us what our order was 4 times. Kept coming back to the window and asked us to repeat them, honestly I’m not one to complain about double checking seeing as I also work in food and I wanna make sure it’s right, however another girl came to the window after we had gotten our food and my cousins milkshake, and asked us if we were waiting on something, we told her about mine and she gave us the wrong one (I ordered a KitKat milkshake and she gave me Reese’s, like what if I was allergic???). Like how are you going to ask us 5 TIMES and still get it wrong? At this point all love but I was done interacting with people today, I’ll be going to other locations from now on, the one on Georgesville has never let me down like this.

Steak 'n Shake please do not advertise your gratitude to veterans in your cashiers don't even know what a veteran is.. I was completely embarrassed to even go there and ask but at the assistance of my girlfriend we went anyway and it was a complete catastrophe. The cashier had no clue what Veterans Day was. Please for God's sake Steak and Shake Don't humiliate veterans with your silliness!!!!!

I was pleased with the staff friendliness and the willingness to assist my friend and I upon entering the restaurant.
I hadn't eaten inside for a long time and things did change. There was a gentleman that helped me and my husband with the changes and everything went very well. If he wouldn't have been there I would have been lost.

Stopped in for lunch today (11/07/24) right at opening (11am) and was so pleasantly surprised! I haven’t ate at this Steak n Shake for over a decade.. for no particular reason, just haven’t. Our food was excellent. My Frisco melt was cooked to perfection. The bread was buttery yet crispy (not soggy) and had the perfect amount of sauce. Fries were perfect too. The staff was very pleasant. The inside was super clean and inviting. Thank you for such a great fast food experience.

Food wasn't very good. They put too much onion on the burgers in my opinion, it was also very greasy. The fries were also bland. The service was ok, teenager working who was a little overwhelming with how often he'd ask "everything okay here?" Prices are higher than they need to be as well i thought.
Kid-friendliness: They have kids meals and they have claw machine and quarter machines. My kid won a Clifford toy in the claw machine on his second turn.
