Hate leaving a bad review for a local spot! I love the sandwiches, but the man who works there most often can be abrasive and rude. Last time I was there he was prepping cheese without any gloves on, and then he started yelling at another man who entered the restaurant and was so rude to him. I understand, of course, that as a business you can't allow people to just sit around without ordering food, but the manner in which the situation was handled was wildly unprofessional and uncomfortable for everyone else. The woman who was working was very sweet and was apologetic for her yelling partner. This isn't my first uncomfortable experience with this particular employee, as he's also complained to me about other local business-owners - throwing around cuss words and gossiping, sometimes even about his partners and their apparent lack of preparedness or assistance. Unfortunately I'm not sure I'll be returning for now due to these experiences. Seeing him smoke outside the building and then go inside and prep food without gloves (even if he does wash his hands) paired with the uncomfortable atmosphere he can create doesn't make me feel very safe. I really hope he's able to turn things around - this is a wonderful spot and Hamilton's local spots are what make it so great.

I had pumpkin pie, a sausage egg and cheese sandwich AND coffee . The total came up to just under $10. What a bargain! Earl who works there is a legend and makes you feel welcome. I love the atmosphere and music. I went there for breakfast might just have to go for dinner.

Loved it! 10/10 will be back again! I've been looking for a place close to the house (East side of Hamilton) that has a traditional buffet style salad bar! $7.99 a pound is a very reasonable price!

Let me tell you. I got a BLT without bread and the mayo on the side ... so delicious its very much bariatric diet friendly too.. and please excuse the bacon i ate .. I would suggest getting extra bacon lol

so far i've ordered from here the deli club, seasonal mac and cheese chicken tender bowl, and the italian sandwich. all items were very good, especially the mac and cheese chicken tender bowl. each time i've come in to order i've had nothing but a good experience.

The sandwiches were ok, but the guy with goatee was not helpful. When asked about sandwiches he was very unpleasant. He told me he hated goetta and didn’t eat the other sandwich I was interested in his opinion but what other diners liked. He was very abrupt.

Been going here for years and every time, with the multiple different sandwiches I've had always come out great and hot; good price for the quality and amount of food you get. Wish they where open for dinner, so I could get a sandwich on my way back home:)

Usually love this place coming throughout the weekday, went on Saturday and it was a different experience. Rude employee who I watched take orders, exchange money, touch face and go right back to making food all with the same gloves. This place is usually great and I hate to give this review, only giving it for the ownership to do the appropriate training on cross - contamination protocol for food handling.

The food was less than impressive but it's an okay place to stop in for lunch. They have no soup on the weekend...werid. Bottom line, it was okay nothing special. I thought their hot chocolate tasted weird. I probably would try some other places around town before I came back.
