Very nice little brewery in the heart of the historic district. The service, beer and food were really good. I had the Dunkel and my daughter had a crazy train which she loved. We had the carnitas taco appetizer and they served 2 of them. Enough to share. I would recommend Fretboard Brewing.

I have an unusual allergy and they were very careful about preparation of my meal and cross contamination. I couldn't have the fries but the Mac and Cheese was very delicious. I definitely recommend the Big Blue!

The food is great! The biggest thing I want to spotlight, though, is their allergy friendliness. My mom is celiac, and the manager made sure to stop at our table and ensure that we knew that no gluten ever goes in the fryers, and that the staff would change their gloves when preparing her food. I also overheard her going and checking on a couple of other tables with allergies. I definitely recommend coming here.Dietary restrictions: I would give this place 5 stars for celiac-friendliness. The staff does their best to ensure no cross-contamination, and all of the fried food is completely GF.

What a find. The Fretboard was outstanding. Great selection of beers. Appetizers were awesome. I recommend the Tostada's Carnitas. The mix of flavors and a bit of heat made it a favorite. We had the Cajun Chicken sandwich which was tasty and juicy, the Pub Burger which was stacked high and cooked well, and the Fish and Chips which is some of the best I've eaten. We had the brownie for dessert which was dense and chocolatey served with vanilla ice cream. We can't wait for a reason to go back to Hamilton to eat at The Fretboard.

We had a couple of friends suggest this place, so we thought we'd give it a go. It definitely didn't disappoint! Since the rooftop was closed, we sat at the bar. The bartender was great and very informative. Told us all about the restaurant and the beers. Gave us great suggestions for drinks and the menu. We tried some beer flights so we could get a good taste of several kinds and the "Big Blue Lemondade" YUM ? We started with the Fretboard Vlad Beer Cheese with veggies & pretzels, which was very good. He opted for the "Meat Loaf," and I got the "Fish & Chips" and both were hot & delicious and I loved the house made tarter sauce. The bartender actually gave him a side of Mac & cheese as well because someone mistaken ordered it, and why not! LOL. He enjoyed that as well. We'll definitely go back, especially once the rooftop is open to check out the view.Parking: Since it's on the main street there's not a lot if close parking but definitely worth the little bit of walking from the parking lots behind the restaurant.

Had a great experience here tonight. We had the flatbread pizza, a burger, and wedge salad. All were excellent. Our waitress - Becca - was very efficient and very nice! Lots of TVs to watch sporting events.
