Idk why I’ve waited so long to try the Westside location. Had the rib tip dinner and it hit the spot with a sledgehammer. Seriously the best barbecue I’ve ever had. When you go make sure to pick up a bottle of their Carolina barbecue sauce.

Neal’s took such good care of me tonight as I’ve been sick. They had me wait in my car and brought food and payment to me in this very cold weather. I’m forever grateful for this meal because I haven’t had an appetite in days and I’m so glad I chose this one. I’ve been here twice but will definitely be going back again.

This was not good. I'd heard great things, but those people must have the taste buds of a two year old. Ribs barely had any meat. Coleslaw was runny and weird. Mac n cheese had no flavor. Total disappointment.

I came to Neil’s Famous Barbecue with high expectations, but left disappointed. The small sides were very small—maybe a fourth of a cup at most. The collard greens were bitter with stems, and the macaroni and cheese wasn’t creamy, had an odd orange color, and too much paprika on top. They were out of cornbread, so I was given a cold dinner roll instead. This was my second visit, and sadly it confirmed why I hadn’t been back. I really wanted this place to live up to the hype, but for me, it just missed the mark. Hopefully, I just caught them on an off day.
