Wow! Worth a stop to see the interior of this location. Really cool history and many fun things to view. Beautiful rooms with different themes.
We stopped in for a drink. Host was so accommodating as the bar area was not open that evening. He personally took our drink order and allowed us to sit in one of the parlour rooms. It was really nice of him to do this for us. They were very busy and could have easily told us the bar was not open and we would have left. We really appreciated the kindness of the host. We had a glass of wine and enjoyed the quiet of venue.
Had the prime rib last night, should have sent it back. Very disappointing, overcooked, not seasoned and no au jus to help wash it down. Paid $58 for a less than mediocre meal, served with a baked potato! No elevation of food to match the price and ambience of the inn.
There is no place to rate food on the reviews so I rated it under rooms. We had dinner here. We did not lodge here. It was a nice experience, beautiful historical building and service was great. The food was mediocre. Salad was very good along with dinner roll. I was looking forward to the prime rib. It was priced at 55 dollars. I was expecting melt in my mouth prime rib that cut like butter. The ends were dry and over done. The piece of meat tasted more like a rib steak. I ordered medium. The meat had a grainy texture. Appeared to be poor quality. Green beans were good. Mashed potatoes were adequate at best.Mine are better. I was dissapointed. I sent mine back and got the tavern chicken which was a lot better but salty. My experience was a let down. I don't think I will be back. I drove 45 minutes. First time there. To be honest, Longhorn has better meat.
Absolutely amazing dining experience.
Food was amazing, and so cozy , service was also great!!
Good food, great atmosphere, great service
fabulous service and delicious meals.
Only went to restaurant for lunch.
We had a very wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at the Spread Eagle. Est. I. 1835 and they are doing it right! Very polished service and from what I observed .., a very good communication between the staff and management. Great team collaboration. We will be back!.
We had a great weekend lunch at the Spread Eagle Tavern! The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious. The building itself is incredibly unique and filled with history. It was our first time there and won't be our last. A stay at the inn sounds like it a great option too.

Insane ambiance- lots of character
It's a wonderful place! Food, service, and experience was amazing. A must to try. We had to drive a distance but worth every minute !
A great restaurant in a somewhat hidden (off the beaten path) location. This place is a gem. Great food and so much to take in for this location. Highly suggest stopping here. Make sure to have reservations for dinner.
If you've never tried this place....don't hesitate. It's a hidden gem full of history and great food.
