We stopped in to wait out the snow storm. The service was great, they kept our coffee topped off and frequently checked on us.
The restaurant and bathroom was clean. This is nice little gem.
The food was hot. The veggie omelet was good, the sausage gravy was meaty and delicious.
Couple hours later we were pleasantly full and back on highway.

I haven't been in here in a while but the last time I went there the turkey was extremely slimy and gross I couldn't even eat the sandwich so I haven't been back.
Positive that's just a one off because that's a pretty good restaurant.

The people are great and the food is wonderful.
We eat here 3/4 times a week and have many family get together here.
Would like to see more variation in the soups offered and maybe stew.

Good atmosphere, busy. Went before church to beat the crowd and still ended up waiting but just for 15 minutes. I had the biscuit and gravy and my husband ordered an omelet with potatoes or home fries? Sorry to say my food was bland and need seasoning and his wasnt touched. We didn't ask to return it since it was busy and our meal was simple. Just giving an honest review . Staff was friendly so nothing from there . Just food review. I will try again another time to see if it gets better.

The Red Squirrel was a classic greasy-spoon diner-type spot. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here. I got the gravy stacker, which had a flavorful sausage gravy that wasn't packed with sausage, but still offered a great sausage flavor. I think the best part of this dish was the fried potatoes. They were abundant and crispy without being too greasy. My husband ordered a Western omelette and he raved about the eggs quantity and the way it married with the cheese. Overall, this was a typical diner-style breakfast. Food-wise, everything was great, but not wildly unique. Service-wise, this spot stood out. The servers were enthusiastic, kind and quick to help when they could. I would come back for the quality of service alone.

7/30/24 Service was great, atmosphere was typical of a family diner/Cafe. My food was another story. I ordered the open faced turkey entree. The mashed potatoes were crusted to the plate. The turkey seamed overcooked. The bread underneath was soggy which I can't say was from the gravy as it was over the turkey not the bread. I feel like my meal was heated in a microwave. Everyone else at our table's meal was fine. So far in the last 2 hours I've been to the bathroom 4 times and still feel nauseous. This was unfortunately my first visit here.
