What a great place. Went there for the first time and I was very impressed. The atmosphere was really cool and the food was really good. The staff was very friendly and looked like they enjoyed being there. I would 100% recommend checking this place out if you’re ever in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

I just wanted to let your facility know how unhappy/disappointed I am with your establishment. Yesterday, 10/12, I was supposed to have a gathering at Maize Valley for the Fall Festival but due to the weather, it was cancelled. I had a group for my birthday and it was suggested that we come to 1875 instead. I had friends from out of town with a 7-year-old. Upon entering, as we were sitting on the patio, I saw your sign about no one under 16. I completely understand rules but sometimes rules are meant to be bent a little for certain circumstances. I spoke to the waitress/manager to no avail as they gave a line bull, as I see it, about safety of stairs and water features. So, my friends were not able to come and had to turn around. I couldn't change at this point due to the rest of party ordering already. I am very disappointed and will NEVER come back and I will be sure to let everyone know not to come here. Gervasi's has much more to offer with no restrictions and a huge pond with stairs, kid friendly. Had I known, we would have just come here. 17 must be the age of responsibility. Thanks for making my birthday a day of apologizing and figuring out how to make this up to some of the group.

Wanted this to be 5 star, I hope it was just the night. This was our first visit for an anniversary dinner. Started off they were out of 'Hazzard', their only dry red wine. We asked to sample another dry wine (which we were charged 50 cents for 🙄). Tried the Rose which was good and ordered a bottle. Went to order an appetizer, the Ricotta, but they were out of that also so we settled on something else. Dinner was fair. Brisket was good but the tomato sauce on the Shrimp Fra Diavolo was very bland. Service was good and we explored the outside seating area which was beautiful. Hate to be negative but we were expecting a little more.

1875 Winery & Restaurant is a great find! The barn has been beautifully restored & the grounds couldn't be lovelier. We are usually dry red wine drinkers but the wines offered were really delicious. The owner, Amanda Lovejoy, took the time to tell us the story of 1875, describe their wines & wine making processes as well as how the wines are named according to her husband's car collection. Some of which you can see on the property. She was kind, informative and very friendly. We really appreciated the time she spent with us. The rest of the staff was very friendly & made the whole environment feel happy. This is a great place to relax & if you're lucky enough to have good weather, take in the beauty of the grounds. What a fantastic experience, as always! The Halloween-themed drinks were such a fun treat, and the pizza? Absolutely delicious! The cheese skewers were a yummy addition too! Our waitress was super attentive and friendly, which made our afternoon even more enjoyable. I can't wait to come back!

WOW! What a find this place was!! Day trip to a really cool winery turned into an awesome lunch date with my wife. Food was amazing, try the pizza, hand rolled daily… Grace was our hostess and made our visit even more pleasing. . Definitely planning a return visit.

Staff were excellent despite a busy time. Sadly salmon tasted old and chicken was dry and over cooked. Salad was boring. Will likely not return despite lovely setting and great staff.
