Kraus' Pizza is the closest my wife and I have been able to find near us that compares to Ashtabula's Pizza Villa. A slice Kraus' Pizza with sausage is a slice of home cooking. I drive from Kent for take out. Can't be beat locally..
Usually our experience with Krause is good but not this time. We ordered JoJo's, meatball sub, and Italian sub. Went to pick it up and they forgot to make the subs. Waited over a half hour for those. I get home and unwrap the meatball sub and all the cheese and sauce were stuck to the foil. What was left was a bun falling apart and meatballs with no cheese and not much sauce. Do better.
Great family pizza shop. We've always been a big Kraus' Pizza fans. This location keeps to that tradition. You must try the topper on your next pie. The potato wedges are the best here as well. The Middlebranch location will always be our favorite, but Hartville is #2. You can't beat their pepperoni and crust.
