Our first time here. Reccomended by a friend. We had the fried mush and eggs with bacon, Irene's biscuit and sausage gravy which came with 2 sausage patties and potatoes, and a bowl of grits. The grits were authentic grits, sausage gravy had big chunks of sausage in it and they make their own mush. It was all very excellent and reminded us of Grandma's cooking. Well worth the drive. We plan to come back to come back since there's do many things to try.
Sadly disappointed in this place. I heard it was good over a year ago and finally tried it out. Steak and eggs were awful. Steak thin and gray, hash browns shredded tasteless and undercooked.
The burger was ok. The egg sandwich was ok. Best thing they made was the bacon. Very expensive for what you get.
I ordered an egg sandwich with rye toast, and they gave me wheat toast, the waitress insisting it was Rye!
