“I was there for their wonderful free veterans dinner and was surprised. I didn't expect much for a free meal but I ordered the chicken parmesan and spaghetti. It also came with their famous salad and bread sticks. Food was great, as well as the service and the friendly attitude of all of the staff. Building is showing its age with lack of cleanliness (ceiling in food prep areas, paneling along pickup areas and floor tile throughout). Tables and seating were clean though.“

Downtown Fruit Passion Newark did not disappoint! I saw their monthly drink: dragon juice go out, looked refreshing. The lasagna soup smelled amazing & heard a customer compliment last wks soup. “I would like to start by saying that I have been a server for close to 18 years, so perhaps I am biased. We sat at the hostess stand for a good 10 minutes before being acknowledged by a guy who sat us without any menus after about 20 minutes of sitting without menus nor being acknowledged we asked the same hostess for menus at which point he said he hasn't gotten around to it yet. Finally I get up and I go to another table ask them for their menus due to the fact that we've never been here before and have no idea what to even expect... after about another 10 minutes a server comes over to take our drink order. we order appetizers drinks another 15 minutes goes by she comes back with said drinks takes our order in the middle of a bingo game where we can't hear anything. food runner brings out food argues with our table about the fact that the kids meal doesn't come with a side although the server told us it did the Cajun pasta did not have broccoli and everything on my salmon entree was cold except for the mashed potatoes. and I'm not just meaning sad under a hot lamp cold the broccoli was literally ice cold to the touch... server never came back to check on us so we had to go find her up at the bar with somebody I'm expecting to be a regular because all three servers were hanging out with him the entire night and neglecting their tablles. explain to said server that our food is cold she was nice enough to get us our side of french fries for the kids meal two new sides of broccoli and put a 10% discount on our meal which brought us down to $60 total after two and a half hours of waiting. the bingo announcer was great and very lively and if I was to base my review off of her I would definitely be coming back but at this point we will not be back for bingo or to eat 🤷🏽‍♀️“

“I drive from Cambridge at least once or twice a month specifically for Debra’s. There’s no other options for pizza for me 😊. Do yourself a favor and try a slice as soon as you pick it up and get it in the car. The taste is unbelievable!!!“

“We ordered take out for Mother’s Day. Everything was excellent. We ordered a variety of food and it was delicious and exactly how we ordered it. We were just a bit disappointed of not getting the blue corn tortillas like the ones they were serving when they first opened up, but even the corn tortillas that they use for their tacos are the best ones you can eat. We’re just happy to finally have a Mexican restaurant with authentic dishes.“

“We have been there three times now and everything has been delicious. The meatballs are delicious and we have had them as an appetizer, on a sub, and on a pizza. The tomato sauce on the pizzas is the best pizza sauce I have had in a long time. Plus the service is amazing! Everyone is so kind and helpful. We will be back soon because I want to try every speciality pizza.“

“R.I.P. B-dubs! I will never go back there again for wings now that I’ve found Don & Sue’s… hands down the best place for wings in the Newark-Heath-Granville area. Only wish I had found this place earlier. It’s so cool. Very well decked out with a hometown sports vibe. And the food is on point. Great garlic cheese bread, great onion rings, great pizza and now great wings. They have an “extra saucy” option, but there’s no need. My wings were drenched in Carolina Gold (my fav). And to top it all off, Harley was the greatest, nicest, sweetest server I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in ages. Whoever is running this place is hitting on all cylinders. Absolutely my favorite Newark restaurant by far.“
