Cute nautical place, we ate outside because it was so nice. We were there for Early Bird specials, I had salmon & mashed potatoes and Shelly had Burger no bun with mashed potatoes. The menu needs updated to reflect proper Gluten free items but our server was able to answer our questions.

We had a salad and cod lettuce wrap. Food was delicious! The food was good size servings as well. The salad was very fresh. I will definitely be back!

The waitress was very friendly and it was fine. The restaurant was clean, although i could do without the country music, but that's just personal taste. The food was pretty bleh. The scallops were tough and overcooked. The risotto I'm pretty sure was burnt and they just took the stuff off the top thinking it would be fine but it tasted like someone put liquid smoke in it. I could definitely taste the burnt taste. The lobster bisque I'm pretty sure came from a can. It was mediocre. The fish and chips was a huge portion but was also overcooked and tough somehow (I don't know how you make cod tough) and had really no flavor. Finally, the key lime pie was really really really sweet. It kind of tasted like a jello no bake cheesecake box with some fake real lime mixed in. I could taste the concentrated lime or lemon juice. Overall, maybe it was just a bad night but I don't think we'll be back.

Had a very tasty cod sandwich with french fries. The waitress was fantastic and the prices are decent.

Nate is a great bartender and has an awesome personality! I love their food, burgers, meatballs, fries, it is all good. The place has a nice atmosphere and is nice to meet friends here for dinner. It is fairly quiet when there is no band and easy to talk and catch up with friends.

The Crab Cake special is awesome with the Watermelon Caprese Salad! Nate’s watermelon Margherita was so refreshing! Definitely recommend!

We had the Cod sandwich, Ruben sandwich, 3 different Salads, grilled cheese and tomatoes soup, and fries. Everything was absolutely delicious but they were out of so many things on the menu. No brussel spouts and some other appatizer we ordered. Overall good food, will return.

Glad to have checked the Blue Heron out. The food was good (enjoyed my wedge salad), the drinks were also good and the beer selection was decent. The bartender and our server were both friendly and welcoming.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good: The service and the atmosphere were wonderful. Kind of a rustic wharf vibe inside. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Our server, Georgia was lovely. She was very attentive to our needs.
The Bad...and The Ugly: I was excited to try this place. They had some unique menu choices. My husband and I came here for date night. To say we were underwhelmed was an overstatement. I ordered the seafood pasta and he ordered the sea scallops and we both ordered a half-chop salad. Let me be clear, we don't mind paying for excellent food
In our opinion, this wasn't it. They are a bit on the pricey side.
If you are big on flavor and seasoning, they don't use much. The salad was lovely but we were not huge fans of the dressing it was served with. The flavor kind of disappeared into the salad. The sauce on our dishes was watery. We were expecting a rich creamy sauce. The egg pasta was very good. The sauce didn't do it justice. My husband said the risotto was just okay. We were disappointed. However, our server noticed. One of the owners came to our table before we left. She asked about our experience and we gave her an honest opinion. She picked up our tab and said our meal would be free. Because she demonstrated that she cares about her customers, we will come back and try something different. Our original review would have been a bit lower but because of this, we will come back again and give them another chance. Sometimes places can have an off night. Thank you Blue Heron for hearing us out and taking care of us.

Great wine, bisque, service, and food. Plenty of parking. First piece of key lime pie this year was icing on the...pie 🙂

Meh , So I got the scallops, kinda small, rubbery. Definitely not the kitchen specialty.
Susan got cold carrots with her entree that should have been candied carrots but were not.
The pork chop was delicious
