it's not that oxymoronic, I'm afraid. they have monthly specials that consistently rotate old favorites. my favorite is the shawarma, but they're famous for their reuben. most of their menu isn’t too special, but they have a few gems through their specials. they also offer fun lattes (with pre-made syrups), vegan candy bars, and pastries. the service is excellent even when there are hiccups, such as me ordering a slice of quiche that was forgotten about. the staff were very apologetic after i spoke up after an hour and received a complimentary pastry of my choosing. the service is excellent, but the quiche was evidently microwaved.
they also frequently provide a space for pop-up events with local vegan businesses during cafe hours. it's a fun, bustling spot that's still worth a visit.

The atmosphere is beautiful, the people there are so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. Everything is vegan so I don't have to worry about what I am ordering. I got their gluten free bagel stuffed with bacon, egg, avocado, spinach and cheese. I wish I could come here all the time but I live an hour away. I highly recommend this place vegan or not because their food is delicious! They also have BVH cookies and other pastries.

Industrial Cozy is how I describe Birch Cafe! It's a warm & cozy atmosphere with a cafeteria look. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly & patient! My new stop every time I'm in Highland Heights! And we love the cozy mugs too, and our mocha & latte was right on point! Two thumbs up! 😁👍🏾👍🏾

Stopped in on our way out of Cleveland. Had a fantastic breakfast burrito with a big chocolate chip cookie and a bottomless cup of coffee. The food here is all vegan and my choice was delicious! Staff was very friendly, polite and professional. There's a small counter area, and a larger table area with plenty of seating. There's also a small but warm little area with more comfortable seating. You order and pay at the counter then find a seat while you wait. Our food came quickly and as I said before was fantastic. Highly recommend and will visit again the next time we're in Cleveland.

Silly me didn't take any photos, but we literally could not have had a better experience here. The staff were so friendly and helpful, environment was clean and inviting. I've been a flexitarian for years but recently committed to the vegetarian life. After a holiday week of family meals and passing up meat-centered entrees that looked amazing, dining here was the greatest reprieve. We ordered their wing special, mac and cheese, jalapeno popper bagel sandwich, and pomegranate lemonade (barista said it was their favorite, which, after trying it myself, makes sense; it was so good). Everything was incredible. I'd enthusiastically take my omnivore family and friends here.
Only complaint is that we live in the Chicago area, but that's not BC's fault 😂
If I ever decide to make the leap to full vegan, this place will not have me missing any of the flavors or textures of animal products. Even if you haven't made any plant-based dietary commitments, Birch Cafe will rock your socks. Food, atmosphere, and especially the service were top-notch. We will definitely return when we're back in the area.

Let’s call it more of a restaurant-light or deliciously loaded cafe because the food is not only really varied with everything from light snack to hearty fulfilling comfort style meal. I’m working from out of town so rely heavily on the happycow app and it did not disappoint! I got the broccoli and cheddar quiche, the sides of
Mac and cheese and potato salad and also a meaty crunch wrap and a latte… I haven’t been happier with my food in a LONG time! Also incredibly fair pricing and spot on for portion sizes. I’d give them 11 out of 10 if that was an option!
