Service overall was decent, though I didn’t interact with them much as it was a car side to go order. Food on the other hand was not up to par. The mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious, but both dishes I ordered had proteins that were heavily charred. One was a chicken breast, the other was an 8 oz steak. I love a good sear, but they were actively charred. When you took a bite, all you could taste was bitter burnt protein. It honestly ruined the proteins entirely.

The food was okay, definitely not the best I've had from this location, but had to give 5 starts to the staff and manager on duty! We came in around 7:30 and were seated right away. Once seated it took a while to get our drinks, and we noticed several tables around us having issues with their food. Our waitress took our appetizer and meal orders and everything came out at a good pace. Our appetizers were great! Our burgers were okay. Kind of overcooked but edible. As soon as we got our food, someone yelled at the manager who brought out our order, from the bar. She immediately replied, I'll be right with you! The customer yelled that they had been waiting on a manager for an hour, which was probably an over exaggeration. The manager approached the customer who was with two others and was trying to listen to their complaints, and the customers were yelling at the manager. Another staff member said something to the customers and they started screaming and calling the staff names and cursing at the staff. The manager said she will not tolerate customers speaking to staff that way and they need to leave. The customers refused to leave until they received a refund and continued to scream and curse at the staff. The manager stayed calm this entire time and just repeated that they needed to leave or the police would be called. The customers then accused the staff of being racist because they threatened to call the police of them, when the customers were African American. The manager explained again, that they were being asked to leave due to the profanity used and that she treats all belligerent customers the same way, and asked them to leave again. The customers finally got up and left and continued to curse the entire way out of the restaurant. After they were out of the building the manager immediately apologized to the entire restaurant from the bar. The staff was definitely shaken, but jumped right back into service. The manager then went around the entire restaurant and individually apologized to each table for the foul language and disturbance during our meals. I think I saw a total of 4 staff including the manager serving an entire restaurant. They were working their hardest to ensure all customers were please with their meals and service. They all deserve some recognition for the way they handled the situation as well as handled being short staffed on a Friday night.

Applebee's is always hot or miss. We had lunch here today and it was not good at all. I got boneless wings that were 80% breading and 20 % chicken. My wife got a steak and it looked like shoe leather. We have come other times and it was fine but there is no consistency. Better off going somewhere else if you are looking for good food

I am not a happy customer this time around. You advertise a new entree on the 2 for 25 but it was not made right. I got the grilled chicken with parmesan cream sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was burnt and no parmesan cream sauce. The mashed potatoes was the only thing i ate. My husband ate the broccoli and my dogs ate the chicken. I will stick to the bourbon street chicken and shrimp.

Stay away!!!!!!!!!!! We waited 20 minutes before a waitress acknowledged we were there. All she had to say was she wasn't supposed to have our table. Rude servers and long wait. The only reason we went was that we had a gift card.

Was there 2/24 evening. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted. We sat down and waited another 20 mins before we left. Nobody even came around to introduce themselves or take our drink order. If the restaurant is that short staffed I would recommend maybe closing down half the tables to properly accommodate your guests.

At the Hilliard location 2/24/24. They weren't extremely busy. We were sat after 5min. Then we had ZERO service after that. No one even took our drink order. Other patrons were beginning to loudly complain. We left after sitting ignored for 20mins.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! First things First it’s dirty it’s like they never clean the place!! Then When I first arrived it took 10 minutes to even be greeted. And the place wasn’t even busy at all!!! They bring drinks out, and it takes another 20 minutes for an appetizer. They have me and my family waiting for almost 45 minutes and comes to tell us there system is down and that I need to pay them upfront before I can not get my food, as if that was my problem. They didn’t apologize for all the time they wasted, offer a discount or even just remake the food in a timely manner. They just wanted to be paid up front. I have never had to do that ever!!! And to be honest I think they were stereotyping me, as I was the only black family there, that was asked to do this!!! What a waste of time!!! And they thought I was suppose to tip for the drinks that I did have to pay for. I wouldn’t eat at this place if it was the last thing around!!!! The service is trash!!! If I could rate 0 I would!!!!

The waitress who served us at the Hilliard Rome Road location was lucky I even gave a tip. She was rude and put off combative vibes! She had zero people skills and acted bothered by everything!Another lady (I thought she might have been the manager) stopped by our table and asked us if we'd like anything. I promtly asked for another Sam Adam's. Our waitress literally questioned my patience on the matter. I simply said, "She asked, so I ordered a beer." This woman commenced to stating, "She better mind her business," then tried to play it off like she was joking! The icing on the cake was when she intentionally ignored us for 30 minutes, 30 MINUTES, when we needed our check! It was like a retaliation to me daring to order another beer through someone else! We heard her say, WITH A SNAP, to another table that was asking about the wait, and I quote, "Well, do you still wanna eat?!".I would rather walk in traffic than attend this establishment ever again.
