I heard about Bears Bagels on channel 6 TV recently, so yesterday I headed over to try them out. It literally was the best bagel I’ve ever had! Kudos Charis and Lo!

I will say that these bagels are amazing. The sandwiches are incredible (I have tried every one of them). My family looks forward to the Sunday sami every week. Always delicious, always something new and different. Thank you bears bagels for opening up in Hilliard, my waistline is mad, but my soul is happy!

Hands down this place has the best bagels and combinations for toppings. Shout out to the cook for always putting these together so beautifully and they always taste delicious. I always put money in the tip jar, are these split equally?, I often wonder. I’m only asking because these employees work so hard to keep that long line moving. Hats off to them.

We had a really great experience at Bear’s Bagels! Bagels are my all time favorite food and I have been dying to try these out since they opened! I live an hour away so we made the trip and it was worth it! There were a few people ahead of us when we arrived but the line moved super fast! Our interactions with the employees were awesome! Super friendly, quick, and helpful! We got a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel, a Bear’s Best on a plain bagel, and some everything and mixed berry bagels to take home. The bacon, egg, and cheese was just a great version of a classic! The Bear’s Best is different but very tasty! The everything bagels are GENEROUS with the everything bagel seasoning which is a plus. They wrap the sandwiches in parchment twice which is nice too! Overall, an exceptional experience and great addition to Columbus!

Vegetarian options: Egg and cheese sandwiches, all bagels, shmears.

Should have taken a photo of my egg, cheese, turkey sausage on an everything bagel sandwich, but it was SO hood I couldn't put it down! The bagel was fresh, dense, chewy...just like a true bagel Should be! Don't pass up an opportunity to try Bears Bagels.

Got a buuuunch of bagels and schmears, some for my employees, mostly for me, so I got to try a little of everything.

I tried Plain bagels, Poppyseed bagels, and Honey Oat bagel. Absolutely phenomenal—these are big, fat bagels with a great bang for your buck. Toasty on the outside and pillowy soft inside with just the perfect amount of chew, leagues ahead of any of the nearby chains, like…. I get the bagel hype now. And even re-toasting throughout the week, they held up perfectly.

I also got to try three of the schmears: Garlic and Chive, Roasted Vegy, and Maple Cinnamon. I’m not normally a ‘sweets’ person, but I could have the Maple Cinnamon every day—sweet to be sure, but not nearly sweet enough to cloying or ‘too much’ in the morning.

My personal favorite was the Garlic and Chive: on a toasted bagel, this schmear melts down like butter, has just the perfect amount of salt, and both the garlic and the chive come through over the cream flavor. It’s great! I ate spoonfuls of this stuff.

Upon pickup, shop was super busy, lively, bustling and well maintained: this is a shop that has character and is loved and cared for, with friendly employees, great vibes, just a really cool little bagel joint.

An awesome find for me and an even better addition to Hilliard. Looking forward to trying the seasonal flavors and sandwiches next!

We were really excited to try this place but didn’t think it lived up to the hype. The bagels were good but no better than Einstein. The coffee was so utterly disgusting that my husband, who regularly drinks gas station coffee, couldn’t even drink it. It tasted like straight acid. That includes the bottled latte. I would consider getting a bagel again but would rather stop anywhere else for beverages.

Amazing bagel sandwiches, great beverages. I had their Por Que No Puerco (their take on a Mexican style bagel sandwich with Chorizo) and the Westwood Heatwave (Buffalo Chicken). Both were phenomenal. The bagels themselves are nothing short of perfection and their ability to put together fun and delicious sandwiches is delightful. The drip coffee (a collaboration with Coffee Connections down the street) is very tasty, as is their bottled Banana Hazelnut Oatmeal Latte. In short... you cannot go wrong here.

The literal ONLY downside of this place... the line will likely be out the door when you visit, since their indoor space is very small - I would recommend just getting everything to go, as the line filled up the entirety of their dining area when I went. (2 different Sunday mornings.)

Definitely has an extra toasty smell when you walk in...and for a while after you walk out. Tried to catch a late breakfast to miss the rush, and most bagels were out. Would like to try again when there are still bagel flavors in supply.

I ordered the classic sandwich on an everything bagel and asked if turkey sausage was available. After being told it wasn’t, I ordered the sandwich without it. When I got home, I discovered they had included pork sausage instead, which I couldn’t eat due to dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy my meal as a result.
