My family and I used to come here all the time when we lived in Hilliard. The Golden China team knew us well and even remembered our usual orders. The authenticity of the food—especially the egg rolls, sesame chicken, and fried rice—always kept us coming back. After moving away from Hilliard 11 years ago, I started returning in 2024 since Golden China is right between my work and home. I’m happy to say the food is still just as authentic and delicious as I remember. Golden China has truly stood for being the best!

We have been coming here for years. Everything is fantastic. Highly recommend the chow mei fun.
I've had consistently bad to middling experience with the food. Last night the sesame beef was bad enough I threw most of it away. If there is any beef at all, I couldn't tell, it's 90% thick breading which is probably cheap frozen food supply and this isn't even how you're supposed to make sesame beef. A little bit of cornstarch is not the same as massive amounts of breading. The sauce is clearly pre-bought from a jar, very thick and gelatinous. Overall not authentic, not correctly made, cheap ingredients and tasted very bad. Waste of money.

I absolutely love this place! We usually order takeout—fried rice, chicken on a stick, lo mein, egg foo young, and more—and everything is always great! They have never disappointed me.
The staff is amazing as well. Whenever I bring my sons to the restaurant, they always greet them warmly and ask how they’re doing in school. One time, my sons were wearing soccer jerseys, and we ended up having a great conversation about local youth soccer teams and which positions they should play.
Some people may say the food is average, but it’s not just about the food. It’s more than that—I TRULY appreciate their kindness. :)

Golden China Express is pretty much your average Chinese restaurant. It’s a small restaurant with maybe 8-10 tables. A lot of menu options but everything seems pretty standard. Nothing too crazy or special. The food itself tasted solid. The portion sizes (at least with what I ordered) are a bit on the smaller side. Overall, not bad by any means. But I wouldn’t say you have to go out of your way for it or anything.
