The people inside were so friendly. This was my first time. I actually heard of them from a Facebook group dedicated to finding great food in columbus. They suggested this place for the best Italian sub. My stepson and I each got an Italian sub. I'd say the price waaffordable. The portions were huge!! So much meat, so much toppings. So good too. I will be back.

I decided to try Hoagie City today after reading quite mixed reviews. Now I know why they are so mixed. I ordered a half phili steak sub and cheese fries. I got home and was so excited cause the bag was heavy and it smelled good. But then I took out the cheese. Which was clearly OLD. Like it wasn't really even yellow anymore and was SO gross. The fries had zero salt so they were super bland. The dogs loved them though ?♀️. Now for the sub ? they asked if I wanted mushrooms and I happily said yes thinking they would grill them with the meat. You know like most places do. Nope. They were cold canned gross mushrooms. As well as all of the other veggies. I could barely find the meat and when I did it was so bland it was shocking. It's like the taco bell of sub shops. People like it cause they get a large amount of food but the food is NOT good. I threw most of it away to eat left over pizza instead.
The day I visited was extremely hot out. The 2 ladies that were working had no ac and still had a smile. The steak sandwich is the ? get it with mushrooms. I only get a half sandwich and it's like a meal by itself. I can never eat it all. AMAZING

The sandwiches were massive and we only had 1/2 subs. Lots of fresh meat and veggies. The 3 people we had with us all said the same thing...It was good, but was lacking real flavor. We had the Italian and the chicken salad.
The Fries were incredible. If you like State Fair fries, then this is the place for you! The small order is a large basket and the large order is a bucket of fries.
Three 1/2 sandwiches, three small fries, three pops = $69.00 (includes %18 tip). So pricing was a little steep for a hoagie shop.
