The menu has expanded and hotpot discounted. The braised pork and mapo tofu were great! Hand made to order soup dumplings. All hotpot set meal includes all you can eat tofu and vegetables. Fast service and pleasant dinning room.

We love this place! My husband and I have been here a number of times over the years, and it has always had a warm and inviting atmosphere with really great food. We’ve had all the broth options, and they are all flavorful and comforting (although chicken mushroom is my fav). The meats are good quality, and the amount you get for the money is pretty good.
Lately we have been going back for the soup dumplings which are made fresh to order and worth the wait. We’ve had both the chicken and pork, and both are delicious.
Staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean and well kept. Go try it!

We have visited Mala Hot Pot countless times, and it never disappoints. Recently, they added handmade Xiao Long Bao to the menu, and they are absolutely fantastic—fresh and flavorful. It’s hard to find freshly made dumplings these days, so it’s a real treat to enjoy them alongside the hot pot we already love.
The prices are very reasonable, the environment is clean and quiet, and the service is great. I especially appreciate the individual mini pots; they are hygienic, and everyone can customize their broth and flavors just the way they like. We always have a wonderful time here and will keep coming back!

Wanted to try the new menu with dim sum as I love dim sum, I never tried it when they had the hot pot. The food overall was okay, not my favorite dim sum spot. We liked the shrimp spring rolls, siu mai, and bao pork buns. Not sure if I would go back and maybe try the other dishes. Service was good though.
They removed the hotpot but did not remove it from their branding.
I really hope they bring hotpot back. They were my favorite spot for it :(
Stopped by with a friend today, hoping to have hotpot for the first time only to find they no longer offer hotpot. The menu is mostly dim sum-type foods now. The food was fine, but it was really disappointing to go there expecting hotpot and then finding out it was no longer available. Service was good, but the place was almost totally empty so our server could pay lots of attention to us. The tables are also still set up for hotpot, so it’s a little weird to sit at a table with the burners that aren’t going to be utilized.
Also of note that their website doesn’t mention a menu change at all. They should change the name of the place if the main thing it advertises isn’t even an option.
My son wanted hot pot for dinner so we came here tonight (5/2/2025). The restaurant was empty and I should've known something was off when the veggie and sauce bar was empty. We sat down and were told the restaurant isn't doing hot pot effective 4/23/25. We were told by the server that management made the change because they felt no one would want a hot soup in the warm weather months (I think pho restaurants are doing ok in the summer...) The new menu is very limited with some dim sum dishes. I checked the website and Facebook and there is no mention of hot pot being discontinued. At the very least, a sign on the door stating there is no more hot pot would've been helpful. The only mention of a menu change was on a video near the front door of CAM. Interestingly enough the online ordering still offered hot pot choices.
Service was friendly and apologetic about the inconvenience.

20/10! Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. Like we are going to come here once a month!
great place! ive gone there a few different times and the hospitality is amazing. the people are so nice and the food is great and worth the price! i always leave full. 10/10 recommend.
This is the best hotpot place in Columbus. I love the Mala broth, the perfect combination of spicy and flavorful! Today I went and saw that they are actually planning to stop serving hotpot and become a dim sum place, but I hope the management will reconsider, as I come here regularly for the soup and tell all my friends to check it out as well
The food is extremely bland.

Unimpressed by this one. The veggie/ sauce bar is very limited and nothing was labeled. I found this place very overpriced compared to other hot pots- for example here you get one small plate of meat for $25-30, where you can pay $35-40 at other hotpots and get unlimited meat/seafood. I'll give it a star because it was clean. The staff wasn't super friendly or helpful either. Spend your money elsewhere.
