Gotten Doordash from here many times and it's been great, first time going in person and the order ended up so different than what we asked for. For some reason added mayo, lettuce, and tomato to both of our sandwiches and gave us a different type of fries.

This was so disappointing how I absolutely love Steak Escape! I paid 15 dollars for a large sandwich that was filled with bread and cold fries! I’m shocked!

The food was really good. Prices killed the experience. Probably won't go back for a while.

Just an ok steak sandwich. Not a lot of meat and mediocre at best but good flavor. 2 regulars $23.76

I'm pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious. It is more of an order and go spot, I would eat there again. Thanks

If you're in or around Hilliard and haven’t been to Steak Escape yet, you’re seriously missing out. This place is so much more than just another sandwich spot—it’s got heart, flavor, and some of the most genuinely kind people running it.

Every time I come in, I’m greeted like family. You can tell the team actually enjoys what they do. The energy is upbeat, the place is clean and organized, and there’s always someone behind the counter ready with a recommendation or a quick laugh. There’s something about the way they work together that makes the whole experience smoother and more personal than your typical fast-casual joint.
The cheesesteaks are insanely good. The Grand Escape and the Philly Cheese Steak are definite crowd favorites—seriously, those things fly off the grill during lunch rush. Everything is cooked fresh right in front of you, and the portions are huge. You’ll leave full, happy, and probably already thinking about what to try next time.

Don’t sleep on the fries either—they're seasoned just right and made to order. And the baked potatoes? Totally underrated. If you’re in the mood for something a little lighter, the salads are fresh, crisp, and surprisingly filling.

One thing I’ve noticed (from, uh… many visits) is that they always try to give you their best. If something’s not up to standard, they’ll remake it, no questions asked. It’s not just about getting food out the door; they genuinely care about the customer experience, and it shows.

It’s clear the people behind Steak Escape take pride in what they do—and it’s not just about the food, it’s the way they make you feel welcome and appreciated. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or bringing the whole family, you’re in good hands.

Trust me—once you’ve been here, you’ll get why so many people keep coming back.

It may be a tad bit expensive but it’s totally worth it! ❤️

This location is absolutely horrible, meat was unseasoned and bread was old and stale. Please save your money and go to the Westerville location

My food photographed really well, and it had a lot of potential. The bread was good, the toppings were good, but what should have been the main attraction (the beef) was quite tasteless. Even just salt and pepper would have helped. I’m not certain of the exact name of what I ordered - but it was their signature sandwich with double the meat. Regular size. No substitutions, no deletions, no add-ons. It needed horseradish, spicy mustard or au jus - anything would have helped. I also ordered the black and bleu fries. The bleu cheese sauce had some twang to it, but the fries should have been tossed in the blackening seasoning. Instead it was bizarrely piled on top - only flavoring the other flavoring? And I didn’t realize there would be additional flavorless beef added to the fries. How’s that supposed to work? Dry flakes of beef don’t stick to fries.

Check out the photo I posted with this review. That picture LOOKS like I should have enjoyed my meal. And I must say the service was great. And had I walked back up to the counter, I might have been able to get something added to my meal to salvage it. I didn’t. That’s on me.

We got there at 530 on dec.8 2024. The door sign said to use the drive thru. We got to where you order and waiting for 20 mins then realize the place was closed. The website states it was open until 750. No one answer the phone either.
