This is strictly about pies for Thanksgiving...I always make my own pies..but apple just is not my favorite to make( cutting apples). One year we tried and we loved the flavor of ur apple crumb. Since then, we ordered 3 every year( small but tasty), but every year we'd have to re-bake it( learned after first year) because they are always raw on the bottom crustđ€ź. It became a tradition, soon as we brought them home , I'd tent foil it ( so the crumb didn't burn)and re bake it. I just couldn't do it this year... didn't have the time and shouldn't have to! Just thought you should know that u might want to add time to ur cooking time on the apple crumb. It's the only reason why I didn't order 3 this year, Thank you
They were closed when I arrived as they have not updated their store hours.
Great day out
Always been a fan of this place, however I am unlikely to ever return now. Took the kids there to get their pumpkins for Halloween like we do every year. We got the pumpkins home to carve them and when my oldest cut into the top of it, we were shocked to find the entire inside was full of water and gnats. This pumpkin had rotted from the inside and when we picked it we had no way of knowing, the smell took our breath away. Of course my child was sad.....what kid wouldn't be. We rushed over to Monnette's Market, thankfully they had a decent selection of medium sized pumpkins like the one we got at MacQueens. My daughter was still visibly upset as we picked a pumpkin and the one worker overheard our whole conversation. They generously told us to just take it at no charge. What a gesture to put a smile on a kids face who certainly had an emotionally few hours. That is the very best part of locally owned, family first type of small businesses. I get MacQueens would have no way of knowing this pumpkin was rotted themselves..no one could have until it was opened up. I called them and just simply asked them to make the situation right, with a refund or credit on something on our next visit. I was basically told no and tough luck, got meaningless sorry about your situation and that was that. So lesson learned next year when we need pumpkins, need donuts, apples, apple cider. We will take our $150 tab to another business.
We love going to Macqueens! Great donuts and Carmel Apples!
Very busy
Pricey
I hate to be the one to say I was âracially profiledâ but that is exactly what it was. The older woman working the check out center was very nasty to me and my family. Rushing us to go to the checkout and when we got to the counter she wasnât there and was on the phone. Younger girl literally yelled at us to leave the orchard when there were still several people still in the orchard even past the 6pm mark of when it closed (we did not know it closed at 6pm, we saw a bunch of other people in the orchard still) This was our first time here and I do not recommended people of color to support this establishment. Maybe reevaluate the staff to have a more welcoming spirit to EVERYONEâŠ.

Love this orchard. I stop by every year during apple season for donuts, cider and fresh apples.

I'm Latina and I visited this place. I walked among the pumpkins, apples, and corn. It was very entertaining and healthy. I bought donuts, apple pie, and cider juice. Everything is natural and fresh. One of my favorite places in Ohio.
Great place to take the family apple picking.
Was extremely excited to come here as an adult and bring my kids since I hadnât come since I was their age. The tall blonde older woman working the tickets for the orchard/pumpkin patch was extremely rude to me and the kids. Even the kids asked me why she was so mean only to us and nice to every other family. Iâm not sure if it was because everyone else was white and Iâm not. I donât know what else it couldâve been. We were polite and friendly unlike her. Extremely disappointed in our experience there. Especially since the kids could tell she was acting different only with us.
Love the apples and pies at MacQueens! Lots of great produce!
I went with a school group. Ms. Rachel was wonderful, very enthusiastic. The cider, apples and doughnuts were delicious!
