Heads up: cash only! Local pub/dive bar with fantastic food! We came on a Sunday afternoon at about 4:00 PM. There were a few regulars at the bar, we seated ourselves at a table. The fried food was excellent! We had fried pickles, fried green beans, the ham & Swiss sandwich, and the bacon cheese burger with fries. The fried pickles came with a garlic aioli kind of sauce and the fried green beans with a Sriracha mayo type sauce. Parking was fairly open around back, but I can see on a busy night it might be hard to come by a spot. It was reasonably priced and tasty! Our two apps and two sandwiches were only $32.

Great dive bar! The Howard Hilton is just a solid local spot — cold drinks, great food, and good people. Cash only, but there’s an ATM if you need it. They usually have live music, and the staff keeps up no matter how packed it gets. Prices are awesome, and the kitchen kicks out way better food than you’d expect from a dive bar. Definitely worth a stop if you’re near Apple Valley!

Cash only all the way, they have an atm that will ding you 3$ if you pay attention 6$ if you don't so be ready. Their burgers are top tier and I love taco Tuesday. Its just normal home tacos but they are affordable and I domt have to do dishes.

Probably the most normal place in Ohio. I went there to have some fun with pals and ended up getting jumped by 6 old men with beards and their willys out. Don’t recommend. 1 star

Rode the Kokosing Gap trail from Mt Vernon stopped and had lunch at Howard Hilton. This place won't disappoint! Great Food and atmosphere, Thanks for the Great Meal!! Will be back
