This might be Hubbard's best kept secret. Food is top notch and the portions will for sure fill you up! My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Bill the owner who made sure our first visit was a pleasant one. It is very rare these days you can eat a meal and feel like you are part of a family. The prices are not bad at all for the quality and service. Please support these great local businesses.

We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately, the restaurant wasn’t too busy as we were getting a late lunch, but had a number of families enjoying their meals. Most of us got burgers, and they were cooked perfectly to medium (so many places over-cook their burgers!), although a bit bland outside of the toppings so it seemed as though the meat hadn’t been seasoned. Good for an affordable price though. The onion rings are delicious, though not sure it’s worth the $2 upcharge as you don’t get too many.

Fiancé and I went there a little over a week ago when it wasn't busy and it was well-before close. No one greeted or acknowledged us despite clearly seeing us, so we awkwardly stood there until we were finally seated. There was no sense of urgency and the staff looked bothered by the fact that we were there.
We had to wait a while for someone to take our drink order (soda and water) and had to wait even longer to get them. By then, we didn't feel like spending money at an establishment that clearly didn't want us there, so we asked for the check so we could leave. Another waitress who was serving another table apologized and was pleasant but the damage had been done.
This is disappointing because A) this isn't the first time we've had less-than-stellar service, but we chalked it up to being understaffed, having new employees, and being busy B) we try our best to support local business and C) the food has always been great .
As someone who's worked with the general public for 10+ years, the very least I do when busy with tasks/other customers is acknowledge the guest so they know they're welcome and still a priority.
I apologize for not bringing this up sooner, but we've had a lot going on and pushed our experience to the back burner. At the time, we were pretty annoyed but at the end of the day, we're just bummed out.

My husband and I tried to order a drink from the bar after waiting and waiting but because we weren’t sitting at the bar we were told to go find a table and a server would serve us. Even though the bartender was clearly not doing anything! Why can’t someone just order a drink from the bar without sitting at it? She was rude, clearly didn’t want to serve us and we will not be coming back.
FOOD WAS GOOD AND THE COST OF THE FOOD IS REALLY REASONABLE.

I’ve eaten at the Eagle Grille & Tavern three times in the last two weeks. I’m visiting from out of town and it seemed like a nice place to eat. I truly liked the atmosphere and the service, food, and drinks were excellent. I happened to order a chicken salad today (5-14-2025 - 1:42pm) and I didn’t finish it so I took it home for dinner. I bit down on something extremely hard and I took it out of my mouth and realized it was the plastic end of a condiment container (see attachment). I’m hoping this was an anomaly and not a regular occurrence. I will go back to the Tavern, it’s one of the few places I like in town.
