The Eagle Grille has been a staple in downtown Hubbard, and you can get great food for a very reasonable price. One of my favorite dishes is the sirloin steak with 4 coconut shrimp. It comes with two sides and costs $18! You can't beat that! The Grille also has great salads, smash burgers, and jambalaya. Bill is a wonderful owner who always strives to get better, even when things are going really well. He's very personable and also makes the Grille ambience appropriate for the season.

After driving all day, snacking along the way, it was delightful to find an entree worthy appetizer on the menu. The seared tuna appetiser was delicious and just enough. My partner said his hamburger was great. The owner went to each table greeting each guest.

I definitely recommend going here. The food is great and the atmosphere is very inviting, especially this time of year. The staff makes you feel welcome and are very personable. You can tell that the owner not only takes pride in his business, and cares about his customers experience, but also truly cares about the community and stepping up by doing benefits when people are in need! Check it out when you have a chance.

I would definitely recommend McDonalds over this place the food took over 2hrs to come out and was cold completely died in the window. The best part was the lemon meringue pie my aunt brought. The owner had no care in the world. There was lots of people leaving upset. Felt like I was on an episode of kitchen nightmares!

Just a few pointers. If you only have “one cook” you should post a sign at the front door and also let your patrons know immediately when they sit down that’s a no brainer right? … not at this joint. You should offer a limited menu to keep the ball rolling instead of slinging out one half baked meal here and there to different tables. If you get served here your food probably was poor quality and the service was worse don’t waste your time. They have no idea how to run a decent business. Communication is key! Duh

So we’ve been to the Eagle Tavern 4-5 times previously and it is usually very good. And I’m not writing this saying I’ll never be back, but tonight’s experience was one of the worst I’ve EVER had at a restaurant. Were they busy, yes, but over 2 hours to get our table served is uncalled for. The owner should’ve been in the kitchen helping, or tried to call more help in , but he did not. They were also out of quite a few items on the regular menu!!! That is unprofessional and poor management!! The servers were doing their best, for the most part, but the owner was mingling with the bar patrons mostly when his restaurant was struggling to make customers happy. When we asked to speak to him all he could say was sorry I didn’t know. As an owner you should be aware of what’s going on in your restaurant especially since you were there!! No compensation for any of our meals either, which probably could have controlled how upset we all were. Two people didn’t get their meals after 2 hours!! Two other meals weren’t even edible and we had to ask for those to be taken off the check…are you kidding me!! Let’s not forget we also got scolded by 4 other patrons saying they didn’t get their meals because of us in the dining room, what?? It will be a while, if ever, before we go back.

I reserved for a birthday dinner,14, persons ,we arrived at 6:00 pm, took forever to order drinks even longer to order meals, couldnt order certain items on the menu because of only one cook, so menu was “limited”, out of baked potatoes,out of cheese ravioli, out of penne pasta, no ribeyes ,couldnt order anything sauted,meals came out in 15 minute increments, 2-3 at a time , my granddaughter and her fiance never recieved there meals,left hungry 2 1/2 hrs later, worst dining experience we ever had, arrived at 6:00 pm left at 8:30 pm, took my appetizer home because it came with my meal instead of before my meal, best part of the evening was the birthday pies my daughter made ,at least we got to eat that, the manager offered no apology ,he should have been in the kitchen helping to cook ,but he was awol thru most of it !

Quite possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Waited over 30 minutes just for a drink order, food took over an hour and a half to come out and food came two at a time in increments of 10 minutes. Granted there were 13 of us but the owner, stood at the bar not helping the servers or cooks. I totally understand it is not the servers fault by any means but it’s truly ridiculous that this occurred. I honestly feel terrible for the servers i can only imagine working for a poor excuse of an “owner”.
