The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The service is also very good. We had the cheese sticks, macaroni and cheese with the pressed steak sandwich. The cheese sticks were very good. The Mac and cheese was very dry and blah. The steak sandwich was mushy and just tasted only like spaghetti sauce. We would order something different the next time.
We went to Hubbard to hear a band that I think is the best hometown band in Y-town -- Leather & Lace. This is a nice bar/restaurant (they have a more extensive menu than most bars) and must be the only place in Hubbard to go on a Friday night because I think the entire town was there -- at least all the GenX population, and some Boomers like us. And everyone knew everyone else. I kind of felt like we were crashing a private party. The food was great and the server was fun...
We stopped in the Eagle Grille & Tavern a couple times in the last week as we traveled back and forth across I-80 while on vacation. We were welcomed by the staff quickly and took a couple of seats at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and gave us terrific service. The food was cooked perfectly (try one of their burgers) and the portions were generous. The owner/manager (I think) even stopped out to check on all the patrons, nice touch. They have a nice selection of vegetarian/vegan...
