From the waitress to the owner, everyone is so nice! Great service and a great story on how they got here. if your looking for real Louisiana cooking, this is the place. The calamari just melts in your mouth. The gumbo is the real thing! Catfish and fried oysters were both perfect. I'm just mad it took me so long to try this place!

where to start? with the HORRIBLE waitress or the EXTREMELY salty food? or maybe they weren't used to having our party of 15 even tho we had reservations? I had high hopes, as it came highly recommended, but sadly, they were dashed after waiting 10 mins to get a drink (other than water), another 10 to get our orders taken and then.....wow....food came out at all different times for everyone. we practically had to BEG for condiments/napkins and, believe it or not, even silverware! there were NO napkins, no refills for people drinking pop, no return to our table to see what we might need inbetween(we literally flagged our waitress down multiple times) and more! my husband ordered fish n chips, as did a couple other guests. he got two skinny strips of something that definitely was NOT cod (looked NOTHING like anyone else's fish) and thought maybe catfish? I ordered a kids shrimp dinner and could only eat a few fries because they were WAY over salted. we had to remind our waitress again and again of what we needed before we finally got it. I gave up on any cocktail sauce because of the wait to get a simple bottle of ketchup! honestly, from what I heard and saw, most everyone was okay with the food, but our end of the table got shorted big time somehow. my granddaughter was celebrating her 18th birthday and thankfully she really enjoyed her seafood boil, but this is one place to steer clear of and I see I'm not rhe only one who left a less than stellar review.

Great service, wonderful food and A LOT of it. Very reasonably priced. I had the fried shrimp platter and hubby had the fried seafood platter. Kudos to the kitchen and service staff! Leeann was super! And you MUST try their Sands sauce!!!!!

Much respect for the manager/owner. We went there on Halloween night in costumes and had a great time. When we got up to leave, what I believe is either the owner or manager, came to our table and led us out because my wife is using crutches after a knee surgery and the place was packed. Great service right there!!!

Took our Granddaughter for her 15th Birthday bash. 6 in our party. 4 of us had the Cajun boils.
Great service and the wait for our food was not bad at all. We'll be back. Great job guys.

Made from scratch DELICIOUS! Wonderful experience here. First class food, all hand made. Wife got the chicken tenders and they are HUGE, i got the lemon pepper catfish and sauteed spinach. Can't speak highly enough about this place. Come get some.

I am glad that i gave Sands another try & didn't completely give up on them. I tried Sands when they 1st opened & I wasn't impressed because of how slow they were & they were very busy. It was on a Saturday night. The food was good back then (catfish on a bed of gumbo), but the seafood boil my husband got back then could use more flavor & the pototoes needed to be cooked longer. I went back today for the 1st time @ 12pm, as soon as they opened for lunch so that I wouldn't have to deal with a crowd. It was only us & 2 other tables there. They had 1 waitress, she was somewhat delayed @ 1st, but nowhere as bad as when I 1st went about a year ago. Once she placed our order, everything went pretty quickly & she kept our glasses refilled. She was very attentive @ that point. The food was delicious & i would go back. I had the fried catfish, shrimp & calamari platter with seasoned fries. My friend had the catfish on the plate of gumbo. I would most definitely go back, but only during lunch when they 1st open to avoid the crowd.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced but the food was really good. Very disappointing, I brought my grandma and family there to celebrate her birthday so of course I feel terrible for this being the place of choice. Our waitress was very respectful after it was all said and wrong but the service was truly disgraceful.
I wish this business better!

This little hidden gem is absolutely YUMM-O! I have tried 3 different things...swamp water catfish, crab cake, and grouper and they have been out of this world. I can't wait to go back. The service is just as great as the food!!

Tucked away in a charming corner, this seafood gem is one of the best-kept secrets in town. From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable, with the staff recognizing my mom as a regular and treating her like family.

As for the food—it was a revelation. I started with the shrimp rolls, which were perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, but it was the catfish that truly impressed me—easily the best I’ve ever had. And the gumbo? A rich, hearty masterpiece, bursting with bold, savory flavors. Every bite was memorable. Without a doubt, I’ll be back for more.

Wow!!! Super atmosphere, food is wonderful! There were 4 of us, 4 different appetizers and meals, we shared, it was all great! I don't like crab cakes... I'll eat these again! Nicole, the bartender, had to fill in as waitstaff... she did a wonderful job tonight. Come see these folks for a lovely, relaxing dining experience. Top notch!
