I always go to drive thru. This is not like the rest. You actually get service and not waiting for periods of time. Pleasant to customers it is refreshing from not going to this chain because of same bad experience at any that closed

I’ve eaten at this store twice in the past month and both times my wait was way faster than I expected (around 4-5 minutes) and the food was wonderful. I was actually caught off guard due to usually waiting so long at the Wilmington pike store. Not to mention both of the managers that were there during my visits were super friendly and clearly ran the store well and during the second visit, one of their employees came around a bunch of times to check on us and take our trash! Super clean inside. If I could change anything it would be the system to scan a code to use their drink machine? Highly recommend this Steak n Shake!!

I hadn't been to a Steak and Shake in a while since so many have closed. Walked in and had to place my order on a kiosk so I walked out. Service is part of sit down dining. Hire someone. You didn't drop your prices when you eliminated that expense.

Actually really clean when we where there and the burgers hit the spot. The fries in tallow are good as well.
So I gave the food a 4 star the chili was fantastic as always. The garlic double was good. The burger was a little too crispy but still good. The person who took my order was quick and very cool. Unfortunately the younger guy who was at the window lacked window skills we had a 15 minute wait which I didn't know there was 5 people that had ordered a big carryout. So no communication just left us sitting in the car for 15min. And when he did hand us the bag he didn't apologize about the long wait and there was no napkins so I had to ask for some. And then when I get home I realize he gave me a fork and not a spoon for my chili. Need a new window person in my opinion because I was the only person in drive thru and he couldn't communicate that there was a large order in front of ours and gave me a fork and not spoon for my chili.

You have to order through a difficult kiosk, pay with a card or bills smaller than a 50, the restroom was dirty and had no hand towels at all.
