LOVE this place. went here for a work christmas party and it was the best time, with even better appetizers. LOVE the cheese curds and the nachos.

A restaurant I used to go to very often, great place for my family. Has now turned me off from it by simply their service.
I went here for a date, and said I would get our table (the restaurant is empty) and they said that I would have to stand in the back hallway to wait for my table since my date is not here yet.
I feel as though if you’re going to make me wait for a table that is open anyway, you should at least let me sit, or tell my the reason why. I feel awkward standing here while the hostesses stare at me in a restaurant full of empty tables.
Hopeful the food still tastes the same, but man this is putting a bitter taste in my mouth. I wish the table was ready for my girlfriend when she arrives and I can put in her food order, but nope.
This will probably be my last time, at Hudson’s. Or “blitzens” I will be taking my business to yours truly .1 miles away from now on.

Hudson’s Restaurant, Hudson, Oh. Expansive, delicious food selection, excellent service, average pricing, and the MOST amazing seasonal displays. We visited during Halloween and Christmas, wow. Mo reservations, long wait times, but well worth. Just plan ahead.

Hudson's / Blitzens is a fantastic bar and restaurant for the price. All the main courses are very well prepared with excellent seasoning. But I will say the sides and appetizers are lacking they are under seasoned and fall flat because of that. The drinks are surprisingly good well thought out and a nice balance between boozy and sweet. Now during the holidays this place is know to get multiple hours waits. Do I think it's worth waiting that long for, no. It's good but if you wait over an hour for this place is do feel you'd be disappointed. There christmas decorations are impressive but there are other things in the cleveland area that will get you in thw christmas spirt that will not leave you waiting for hours. I'd suggest visiting hudsons throughout the year to get the same food with no wait. As far as parking goes it's basically attached to the garage that sits in the middle of hudson so parking is not an issue.

I've lived in Hudson for almost 7 years and was excited to finally try Hudson's. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and the food was delicious. I spent over $100 on takeout for my family. However, one of the hostess was very rude. She was short, pretty, older, brunette and seemed to be in charge of the hostess station. I walked in and was trying to pick up my order. She gave me a dirty look and then completely ignored me and other customers standing at the hostess desk. I understand it was busy and everyone may have been overwhelmed but I took it personal and will not be back again if she is the face of the restaurant.
Such a fun place! Restaurant dressed as a Christmas wonderland including Blitzen's bar. Would definitely go again. Go early, this place gets packed!

Went for Blitzens after reading all the hype. The place was decorated so cute and I really wanted to enjoy it more than I did. We arrived at 3:50 and got seated at 5:30. Ordered the moment we were sat. Our server brought most of our drinks then disappeared. Someone else brought our food out a little after 6. We had empty plates, glasses, and the menus on the small table while we tried to eat and I had to follow up several times to get them to bring my drink after the food arrived. I ended up having to put the menus on the floor to make space. Our server just seemed shut down and all the other workers we interacted with seemed annoyed/frustrated and unfriendly. It was certainly busy but it just made for a tense atmosphere despite all the fun decorations. The food was just okay and I've had better at lower prices at similar kinds of restaurants. All in all the concept is an amazing idea, decorations so cute, but poor execution, unfortunately.

Let me start this review by saying I NEVER leave reviews but I felt the need to warn anyone who is thinking about going here.
I decided to take my girlfriend on a cute Christmas date to “Blitzen’s” the Christmas pop up bar that Hudson’s does every year. I have never been but I heard the decorations were great, which I’ll give it to them, they were but that’s about where the good ends.. we went up to the bar just to get 1 drink and we both ordered the “Black Santa Martini” which we thought was going to be similar to any espresso martini anywhere and boy were we wrong. I knew after the first sip it was the worst cocktail I have ever had in my entire life. The best way to describe it is a cup full of “espresso” syrup that was unbearably sweet and thicker than most soups. I immediately went back to the bar and asked to change my drink (my girlfriend decided to keep it which was a huge mistake). The bar tender graciously gave me a new drink which was a bourbon Christmas drink (forget the name of it) thinking a bourbon drink that is less sweet would be better. It was equally bad. Now in one night I managed to have the two worst cocktails of my life. At this point I didn’t even want to complain and just wanted to leave so I suffered through the rest of the drink and got out as soon as possible. I wish I was making this part up but my girlfriend did not make it 5 steps out the door before throwing up the entire drink. Those drinks single handedly ruined our entire date and night. If you are going to have a Christmas pop up bar and charge way too much for drinks, maybe spend a little less time on the decorations and a little more time making a half decent drink. I would give a 0 star if I could. I will never be going back to “Blitzen’s” let alone Hudson’s ever again.
Oh and it took way too long standing at the bar to even get our drink orders in as we watched a group of employees taking shots behind the bar (again I wish I was making this up). Go for the decorations or whatever but don’t expect to have a good cocktail….

Love the Christmas theme! Food and drinks are delicious, and customer service is quick and courteous! Greeted by Miriam who was super polite and has the wait list and seating snatched and running smooth, and her priority is to ensure everyone enjoys the Christmas Spirit Blitzins offers. With as busy as they are, every course of our meal was delivered quickly, and you can't go wrong no matter what you order to eat or drink. Run, don't walk to Blitzins!!!

Decided on coming back this year to BLITZENS Christmas pop up bar. We went at 5pm on a sat the wait was about an hour or so. Luckily we got seated a little sooner! Elizabeth was very knowledgeable of menu and drinks. Very friendly and prompt. Miriam was incredible host dealing with all the big parties coming in and out. Will definitely come back not during the holidays when it’s not as busy. The decor is amazing compared to other places. They go way over the top. The ribeye was flavorful and cooked perfect. The pot roast was tender and fall apart and good size portion to say the very least.
