Blu Basil (Jaipur Junction) Fine Indian Restaurant

Very bad food. dal makhani was so bad. Worst ever. The madras lentils you get in Costco tastes 100 times better than this. They gave us wings in the name of chicken lollipop. I guess they need to lookup how a chicken lollipop looks like. I forgot the wings /lollipop had a fishy taste. I guess they reused the vessel or oil. If you like authentic Indian food, avoid this place. First and Last time for me.

Yum, we were in-town for an event and went for lunch. Ordered the Naan, potato balls, samosas, and curry goat. The rice that came with the curry and the curry itself was amazing. The Naan was pretty good as well as the samosas. The potatoe balls needed a little more time cooking because they were crisp on the outside but almost cold inside.

The curry goat was served in a small portion, yes, but that is typical of Indian restaurants so you need to wean yourself off of typical American oversized portions and enjoy the quality overall.

We will return here if back in the area.

Excellent food and excellent service. Will definitely visit again and they have a nice bar as well. Staff is very nice and friendly. After today experience this restaurant has become my favorite Indian restaurant where I enjoyed the
great food and good music while sipping on the wine.

Blu Basil (formerly Jaipur Junction) is one of my favorite Indian Restaurants in the Cleveland area. The food is always quality. My favorites include Shahi Paneer, Chicken Makhani, navratam Korma, chicken biryani, mango lassi, and garlic naan bread. I’ve had a large portion of the menu and enjoyed it— for groups the Thali is great.

They play a variety of music. Sometimes Indian and sometimes chill electronic like a relaxed club.

The decor is nice, modern.

Overall, food is excellent. Service is good. The atmosphere is enjoyable.

Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options. The vegetarian thali gives the choice of trying several of the options at once.

The quality of food has been bad since it became Blu Basil ( from Jaipur Junction). I, my husband and my daughter came for dine in and had daal makkhani and methi malai paneer. We all three have stomach ache, vomitings and fever since then and finally are visiting doctor for my little daughter. Won't ever visit again.

Definitely NOT going back . Another disappointing Indian food place in Ohio . Drove 15 miles round trip , 2 entrees for approx $50 . Fish Tikka masala and Chicken Vindaloo with naan . All Not recommended , taste was 3/10… Chilli naan , lol they added chilli flakes to them … well it makes sense verbally , but that is not what Indian chilli naan is supposed to be . But I gave a try , Not again though . Would drive 20 more mins to paradise biryani point in mayfield heights , or just stick to Singh Biryani locally .

We were there for lunch. Ordered spinach appetizer which was very good. Lamb Biryani was also good. My wife liked their Paneer dish.
Overall good place for lunch and dinner.

I dined at Blu basil in Hudson yesterday, and was thoroughly impressed. The service was excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly,and delivered food fast . The food was delicious, with authentic flavors and beautiful presentation. Special dietary requests were handled with care. Highly recommend!

I have visited blu basil in Hudson with my friends. I had a great experience after so long time I had a delicious Indian food. The service was good. Ambience was really nice. Masala chicken wings one of my favorite item. I would love to visit this restaurant again and again ??

As a customer familiar to Blu Basil, I was rather disappointed with the service today. It was six in our group and our waitress #1, took our order mentally and did not write down anything. This was my first concern. It took over 40 minutes for our waitress #2, to bring some of our meals out. The order was missing items mentioned to the Waitress #1 handling our order. To add more insult to injury, when the forgotten meal was brought out everyone else at the table had already finished their meal and were disappointed because the meals were not made as requested, (all medium spice), all the meals were mild. Lastly, upon requesting for take-home boxes we felt discriminated, due to not being provided containers as the restaurant guests around us, we were given very tiny sandwich boxes, which made us feel discriminated, and I had to go up to the counter to request for larger boxes. I noticed there were plenty, so I have no idea why the counter waitress would provide us with very tiny sandwich containers. The owner of the business, I actually met her when she had first purchased the business from Jaipur Junction, remodeled, and changed the name of the business. I have been here on several occasions and I can honestly say the service is lacking. The lighting has became darker, and the menu print is very small, and upon asking questions about the different meals, the description often misrepresents the actual ingredients upon looking at the actual meal. I believe the staff needs more training, they must write down orders, they possibly need another cook on the busy days, and possibly, less waitresses to ensure the money is going toward the cooks. I don’t know if I’ll be returning with any friends or family anytime soon.

Blu Basil is my new favorite spot in Hudson! They have a great variety of vegetarian dishes and are very fairly priced. Great curries and good service. I would definitely recommend and I can't wait to visit agin!
