First time there, heard lots of great things. We made a reservation but had no table when we got there. Gold we would have to wait at least 20-30 min until someone left or sit in the bar. Luckily someone left soon and we were able to be seated 10 min into our reservation. Service left a lot to be desired, server wasn't around a lot and we had to ask others to find her for us when we needed something. Food overall was delicious though, huge portions we weren't expecting, easy to share a meal with another person.

My wife and I are locals and regulars. During the 13 years we've lived here, we've never had a bad experience. I really don't understand the bad reviews on Yelp, maybe some people just want to be offended. Not everything is perfect, for example I do not like the pizza as the dough is too bready, but that's a personal thing so we go somewhere else for pizza. We go to Tomato Grill for a great meal and wonderful service from a staff that feels like family.

We had a 6:30 reservation for three at The Tomato Grill (my wife, our baby in a stroller, and myself). I even added a note in the reservation about the stroller to give them a heads-up. When we arrived on time, we were told there was no table available and that it would be about a 20-minute wait. During that wait, we noticed our reservation had somehow been trimmed down to two people. After about 40 minutes total, we were offered a high-top table right in the main walkway by the bar, restrooms, and kitchen — not exactly stroller-friendly. We declined, and were told they didn't know when another table would be ready. We were finally seated around 7:10. My wife spoke with the manager to calmly explain the situation, but the manager was dismissive and condescending. Instead of listening, she talked over my wife, said they were “busy,” and walked away mid-conversation. We understand being busy, but the entire point of a reservation is to have a table ready at the time reserved. Once seated, we discovered how much they nickel and dime you. My chicken parmesan was $20 — and they wanted an extra $5.50 for pasta to go with it. My wife switched her pasta type and was charged $1 extra. The $9 side salad tasted like bagged lettuce, and they would've charged another $1.50 just to split it. We originally planned to order drinks, an appetizer, and dessert, but by that point, the experience had soured the evening. The server was kind and not at fault, but everything else was a disappointment. We won't be returning.

The Autumn Squash soup was delicious, the Beet and Caesar salads were excellent and the Tiramisu was a great ending to our lunch. We were seated quickly and were offered excellent service. We will be back.

Once again, the Tomato Grill was fantastic! The food, the service and the atmosphere were top notch. We have never had a bad experience at the Tomato Grill. Everyone is friendly and the food is great. I would give 10 stars if I could!

They asked us if it was a special occasion. We said we had 2 Anniversaries. But they did't do anything special. So why ask? We told our server it was 2 anniversaries to remind them. Nothing.

The penne arrabiatta that I had was great - fresh and delicious. The decor seemed a bit outdated, though, and the vibe inside the restaurant was a bit sleepy. I'm not from the area so that may just be the local vibe, though.

My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day and we were blown away. I got the chicken alfredo and it was the best pasta I’ve ever had (in giant portions, too!). We haven’t had the time to go back yet because it’s a little bit of a drive, but I think about this place so much and I’ve recommended it to almost all of my friends.
Sat outside on a pleasant night. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. We didn't feel rushed at all.. Each of us really enjoyed our meals. Portion sizes perfect. Their eggplant parmigiana is the best I've ever had, anywhere! The fresh broccoli with their signature lemon butter sauce is delicious

Service and food were exceptional. Our server was GREAT, prompt, quick, and often reported back to check in on us. We love the atmosphere at Tomato Grill and dine there often. Check out the specials and don't forget the dessert! The Apple Carmel Cheesecake was amazing!

The service was great and I go here quite often and am usually very satisfied however the saltimbocco with veal was very tough. I believe the meat was too thick and not prepared well enough to cook as it should have been. I tried a sharper knife and was still not able to chew it. To their credit, it was removed from my bill. I would return again.
