Overall terrible. Fish was without a doubt a frozen product. The service was utterly horrific as well. Waitress had on Nike drip flops and was just downright scary. Took forever for our food. One of worst meals I’ve had in a long time.

Staff made entire family (21) comfortable and relaxed. Great time. Pool was so elegant and open grill and bar made it even more special. We usually golf but just enjoyed hanging out this year. Rooms were comfy and clean.
Waited over an hour for our food and it was not during a typical meal period. Server said it took so long because a large group of golfers phoned their order in from the course. Would have been nice to know we were behind a large order that would delay our food before we placed our order. Would have gone elsewhere. Sticky Chicken sandwich was really good (but not worth the wait). Also surprised that a venue like this has no beer on tap (just cans).

We enjoyed it here quite a bit. CP has done a nice job with the place and it seemed clean and well run. The golf course is very nice and actually pretty challenging. We also really enjoyed the pool which was well done and a nice place to hang out. It's less of a "resort" than the Breakers but still a nice place to stay and the drive to CP wasn't bad. The weekend got pretty loud as there were a ton of kids there for baseball tournaments and this is the closet property to the Sport Complex. However, Sunday night was very quiet. We didn't eat the resort but the food looked good but a little pricey. I read a lot of complaints about the price however, when you compare to the other hotels in the area and especially the other Cedar Point properties the price isn't bad at all.
We stayed here as we visited friends in the area and used it as a home base to enjoy Lake Erie. The hotel is pristine as it was renovated by Cedar Point and reopened in the last year. Beautifully appointed with a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. We had the breakfast buffet and it was great. Families were enjoying the pools and public areas. The golf course next door looked great but we did not have the chance to golf. I liked the idea of the serenity of the hotel but having the great location to visit Cedar Point close by. We visited the towns of Huron and Vermilion. The pier in Huron was great for fishing and had fun restaurants. The reviews seem so negative, but stay her you will not be disappointed.
The room was nice. Not worth $250, however as the outdoor pool was out of service during my stay. I’m sure it might be different for someone attending an event there or perhaps if you’re a golfer. Restaurants were obscure; not serving basic American choices (duck confit, for example) and the ice machine was even out of service. The courtyard is disappointing based on marketing images. Not a good choice for a solo traveler. Other more affordable choices nearby offering the same basic room/amenities.
Only spent one night while attending a wedding in Sandusky. We found the property attractive and our second floor two queen room comfortable, clean, and sufficiently appointed with a nice size TV, microwave, modest mini-fridge, and in room safe. Particularly appreciated that the bathroom was a walk-in shower as opposed to a more traditional tub/shower configuration. The lack of an in room coffee maker was disappointing and the on site Starbucks had limited hours (6 am - 9 pm). The resort is annoyingly cashless meaning that even small purchases required using a credit card. While we didn't use many of the amenities during this stay the pool area, public spaces, restaurant, bars, and market including the adjoining golf course were inviting reflecting recent updates. Note rooms are a considerable distance from the single elevator and most resort amenities. The “resort” has small convention facilities which could be annoying if booking for a couple or small family escape. Would certainly consider for a longer stay if visiting nearby Cedar Point or a short escape.
Went with 11 other guys for a friendly golf tournament. We stayed in the hotel and played the course for 3 consecutive days. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The costs for the play and stay package were reasonable. Keep in mind that while you can walk from the hotel to the course, you'll likely want to drive as it's a bit of a hike with a heavy golf bag. The course is challenging with some of the toughest greens we've ever encountered. We can honestly say that in the 30 years of having this tournment all over Michigan and Ohio this property rated as one of the best experiences for all guys. Thanks so much for a great time!!!!
Very clean rooms and resort. Super comfy beds. Great indoor pool and hot tub with a lifeguard on duty! Friendly staff. We had a relaxed and peaceful stay at the resort between cheer competitions. Will gladly book here again. The whole resort has been modernized and looks great.
Beautiful view from the patio seating

It's a great property but they are still working out the kinks. The heating/cooling system in the rooms is totally baffling. The restaurant at dinner is hit and miss: my food was undercooked, sent it back, still undercooked so I gave up. On the plus side the pool is nice and the breakfast with the senior or kids discount is terrific, and they have a nice bar.
We stayed for a night with our two children and we were beyond impressed. Our room was clean, modern and had a perfect connecting room with two bunk beds for the kids. Every single employee we interacted with was kind, pleasant and helpful. The pool lifeguard was extremely kind and let us borrow life vests because we forgot them at home. We had dinner at Mulligans and Jessica was an awesome waitress. In the morning we had breakfast at Harvest and Leslie was so helpful and kind. We also met Brian the F&B Director who was very nice! Thank you to the whole staff for making our "staycation" an unforgettable experience! We will be back!
We stayed for 2 nights at sawmill creek. Having been there in the past it was nice to see the renovations. We had patio room with a fireplace. Very nice room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was really nice. The only downfall was the room was very far from the lobby and restaurants. Wish they had coffee pots in the room too. The pool and hot tub were nice and the breakfast buffet at harvest was really good. I miss the shops they used to have there though. The weather wasn't good so we couldn't go out to walk or anything but the outside area looked very nice. Overall a great place!
We stayed at Sawmill Creek this weekend with my sons travel basketball team. Our group had a total of 7 families. None of us had stayed before. EVERY family could stop talking about how clean & tidy the resort was. It was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. My family stayed in a suite with bunk beds and we could have easily slept 8 people in this room. It was awesome and the price was great. The pool area was over the top. It wasn't just a small dingy, hot, pool area... it was big!!! The area was great for entertaining and had a lifeguard. The hot tub was the biggest i've ever seen in a resort. It was well ventilated and had an area for dining if you ordered in dinner. Needless to say, we will stay again. I wish I had taken more pictures, but we were having too much fun. Great place to stay!!! Side Note- We ordered pizza from Eats N Treats and they delivered to the hotel. GREAT PIZZA!!!!!!
We went there for lunch..and we waited 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order..once we got food.....it wasn't what we had originally ordered..only two other people in the place...so they even weren't busy ?..never going back...??...
