Applebee's Grill + Bar

Stay away! One person working. We waited 45 for an appetizer and everyone kept leaving due to wait time. No wonder why they are going out of business. I wish I went somewhere else and saved 2 hours of my time. Even the bustiness men from out of town trying to get a drink were bugging to leave. The bar tender was the waitress and the hostess. Reminder to future self: if I have to wait more than 1-2 min before being greeted at the door, LEAVE!

My daughter and I waited 20 minutes to be seated in a less than half empty restaurant. Ten minutes into our wait another family came in and explained that they were in another Applebee's on the east side of Cleveland and were never waited on so she came to Independence. The waiter saw that we were there first but proceeded to seat and serve her and her family first. We did not complain because we felt bad that her and her children had to wait so long at the other restaurant and then come to this Applebee's in Independence and wait again. Our waiter was the only one serving and so he was trying to keep up. I really felt the Host could have helped out a bit he stayed in one area and didn't do much from what I could see I asked for a substitute sweetener but never got it. I went to the bar and asked and she said she'd get someone to give it to me, but never did.I went to my car and got my own. When our food arrived there was no silverware so I asked the host for silverware and he said when they are done rolling them someone will bring it to you. The woman next to us had just been seated and was served immediately by the chef. I was in the Applebee's in Middleburg Hts Ohio the day before and had excellent service. I won't be going to the Applebee's in Independence again. I used to rate Restaurants and Hotels for a service many years ago. I was very disappointed with my experience in Independence on Rockside Rd.

this Applebee's is great, it is 1 of our top 2 favorite restaurants in the area. the staff are always friendly, the food is very good.

We were a party of 7 that came in today and the service was great, fast and the employees were kind and attentive!! We do not like the Applebees on ridge or steelyard so this is definitely are new favorite location!! Thank you guys for the great service
