Simple order nothing complicated at all just pay extra for my side and get the basic side. No notification, not even told that it was switched. I would be ok with it had they just said something about it as in like "hey we do not have your side available may we switch and/or which side would you like instead and of it doesnt cost the extra then well issue a refund for that cost" Restaurants are starting to get out of hand with terrible customer service, higher costs due to "inflation" and pay and treat employees like garbage anymore. I will be submitting my complaint but please anytime you go to a restaurant please please please unless deserved do not complain about your server! Dont complain to the manager complain about them!

Our visit tonight was disappointing to say the least. Our server was nice, but he barely acknowledged us. He checked on the table next to us many times and gave prompt service, but barely checked on us at all. I spent over 10 minutes waiting to hand him the money for our bill (which he knew we were ready to pay) before just leaving the cash on the table and walking out. I tipped because I’m a good person, not because the service or the food was good.Our food came out and everything was overcooked. Steak was hard and overdone. My child’s burger also had hard pieces in it and was way over cooked. It was just disappointing all around and I don’t think we’ll be back to this location. It used to be a really good location but it’s really gone downhill.

Loud employees that were not working sat in a booth and demanded the attention of the ones that were working. Every word out of their mouths was a swear word. It was very unprofessional.However, our server was very nice and tried his best to ignore the loud employees.

Unfortunately our experience was awful but I feel bad for the cooks and servers....they were probably shorthanded and had no manager around.. they may have been in the back cooking. Mostly got burgers and a couple salads, took 2 hours apps that came with the 2 for 24 took about an hour. Sorry for the bad tip server...I didn't pay or I would have left more since I'm sure you had a bad experience like we did and uncomfortable confrontation about the bill and our grievances. I will not be returning to the independence area for any dinners

Ordered beef nachos to go what I got was gristle off the grill no tomatoes no jalapenos and windows nachos have grilled onions? Absolutely will never eat there again at this particular store

Everyone complained of their food, not tasting. Tasty our burgers were too dry. The onion rings were too hard. The fries and the wings were too hard. We didn't receive the birthday cake slice for the birthday person..
We have literally just left this location and I Normally don’t bother with reviews unless we get good service but I just spent $80 on food that I couldn’t eat because the amount of salt dumped all over everything. Not to mention it took well over an hour to get our food. In this hour we were not checked on our waitress avoided are table not even looking over at us and once we got our food she checked in once our plates were at the end of the table and gave us our check it took another 20 min for her to cash us out so we can go. Now if they were busy and everyone was waiting I would be understanding but I watched 3 tables get seated after us in our section and get served their food and we’re done eating before we got ours. I don’t know if she just didn’t like us or what but it was one of the worst experiences at Applebees. My husbands go to dinner spot is Applebees and I think he needs to find a new spot of this is what it’s going to be like. No we didn’t complain because we couldn’t wait another hour to talk to someone and we try not to be confrontational it rarely ever solves anything.

Worse experience I’ve ever had going somewhere to take food home and it’s not even home it was my hotel since we’re from out of town. It took 2 hours for me to get all of my food. I had to go back to get things that were missing from my order. The place is a joke
