Ordered lean corned beef. Definitely NOT LEAN. The corned beef in Cleveland has REAL LEAN corned beef.

I cannot imagine that the original Slymans has to share their name with this horrible restaurant! The corned beef, roast beef and pastrami weren’t even comparable quality to what the original restaurant serves! The food was total crap!
We were there with 9 people no one cared for anything they ordered!
Sad!

Went there today (1-17-26) with a buddy at approximately 1pm, it was not busy. Between the two of us we ordered, 2 full corned beef sandwiches, 2 crinkle cut fries, mushrooms and onion rings, water and an iced tea. $97 dollars(!!!!!). The money was not the issue. The portion (sandwich), quality of the food and service was the issue. The sandwich was smaller than expected, fries were extremely dry and unseasoned, shrooms and o-rings were ok. Our waiter was worthless and inattentive. It was about 50 degrees inside. Overall poor experience and NOT worth the money whatsoever. Never again.

We ordered food for pick up. We tried to call the restaurant to order but got a message that said due to large call volume we should order on a website the recording have. We ordered 3 sandwiches, one order of fries, one cup of soup and and an order of the Ruben poppers appetizers.
When we picked up the order, the fries were missing, the sandwiches were all cold, and the Ruben poppers were burned. When we called the restaurant to complain that we spent over $90 on food we couldn’t eat, the manager said she co uld not refund our money because we had ordered through Door Dash. I explained that we had not ordered through Door Dash, my husband drove to the restaurant to pick the food up. She said because we ordered on line it went through door dash. I told her that we were instructed to order on line by a message on their phone line. The manager said she would leave a note in the office that stated on our next order we should get the amount we paid today off our next bill. I told the manager no thank you, we wouldn’t be ordering any thing from them again.

The original Slymans should remove itself from this one. Fries were half done. Corned Beef was cold and flavorless. It’s like they pre made the sandwiches prior to serving or maybe it was leftover after the lunch rush. I could have had a better Sandwich at my local convenience store. Disappointed to pay those prices.

Our party of 4 last night had an excellent experience at Slyman's Tavern in Independence. Our server, John, was very polite, friendly, and attentive to our table throughout the evening. The food was delicious! Fun, sociable atmosphere inside. Will definitely return soon!

The corned beef used on the French fries looked like wet cat food. It was not sliced, more like a pate' that you get with canned corned beef hash.

Our group made a stop for a great lunch today at Slyman's tavern in Independence, OH. Our waitress Kareena was great, super personable and helpful. We all had different sandwiches and where super impressed with what we where served. The cocktails where really fun and good. I personally had the triple deli and would highly recommend it. Another in our group had the rueban and feels it may be the best corned beef he's ever had. Two thumbs up and 5 stars from the crew from Wisconsin.

Ordered 1lb. Corned Beef and 1lb. Of Pastrami at 11:13am 12/30/25. Waited about 15 minutes. Took my order home from Independence to Berea only to find I got 2- 1lb containers of Very Tasteless corned beef, no pastrami . Very disappointed. Will not be returning or recommending this place!!

It’s definitely not what it used to be. This is paper thin sliced terrible flavor. It’s a never again for me.

My corned beef sandwich was 🥶 COLD! Maybe that's why the service was so quick. Somebody forgot to warm up the meat!
