First time in history I’ve this experience after eating at slymans for years but 2024 st patties day we ordered 3 sandwiches 1 was mix with deli and original slymans corned beef, the other 2 was nothing but deli corned beef what a big disappointment.if they was out of original that’s all they had to say,but fooling us with only deli corned beef, just to make a quick buck wasn’t right.not sure if I’ll be back.We didn’t even eat the sandwich’s.what a waste of money.

Service outstanding. Tried something new and ordered the Loaded Latkas, though the portion was good the potato pancakes tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Would go back but will stick with what I know.

My entire family ate here on a family trip. Our waitress was sweet and professional. The food was great.

I've always like this place, but the last time we went in we waited 20 minutes to be seated with several open tables within feet of the front door. Tonight we tried to go, more tables were open then full. I counted 6 servers, a bar tender, at least 3 support staff members...and the host.We were seated about 10 feet from the kitchen at a high top. We sat there for 20 minutes after being seated and we were passed over by ever one of the servers. I tried getting ones attention, and I got the 1 minute finger. We waited an additional 10 and walked out. Not worth the horrible service for a $25 Ruben sandwich. Last time we waste our lives in that place... I mean I get being under staffed, but that wasn't the case.

My first visit to Slyman's was everything I'd heard about and expected! And thank you for being open on a weekend! This meal was "dance at the table" fabulous!

I was so disappointed with my cold cornbeef sandwich. If I thought there was any other way the sandwich would be serve aside from warm or hot I wish I was offered that option. My server was the bartender for the most part and we didn't get much service. I asked for a straw for the cocktail that I ordered, the other server brought the uncovered straws in her hand. Not wrapped in a napkin, just her dirty fingers. This location doesn't measure up to the downtown location as I remembered that location from 2015. I traveled from NC with a Slyman's cornbeef sandwich on my mind and it was such a let down. The only reason I stopped in Independence location is because the other location wasn't open on Sundays.

The Slyman’s fries are the best. Also had the Pastrami melt. Excellent also. Service was great, atmosphere was great. Be ready for a nap afterwards.

Came 3 hours away to have the worst service ever and ok food. America is going out of business because employees are putting employers out of business with lack of care for simple jobs. Insane

When I am in the mood for a Corned Beef sandwich, I usually end up here. The corned beef is piled "mountain high." So high, in fact, that it's hard to find the bread. This has a sports bar atmosphere as well as other elements to it. The food is always good and hot. The menu is pretty large and covers most of the sports bar fare.If you are in the mood for a good sandwich, burger, wrap, or salad, this is a good choice.Parking: At lunchtime on a weekday, it's very difficult to find any parking. You would be better off to make it an early or a later lunch to have an easier time with parking.

1 star because someone authorized a $3 tip for a pick up order. The police are involved and I will be prosecuting who ever did it!
