I placed an online order which was confirmed and prepaid. When my husband went to pick it up, they said they had no idea what he was talking about. She located the order and said it wasn’t confirmed (I literally had a confirmation number) and then yelled at them they hadn’t even made it. When he left I called to cancel the order because I had prepaid, however the phone number for the restaurant went straight to a full voicemail box. Glad I paid for an order I never received. Poor customer service.
Despite being severely understaffed, the service was incredible. Linda, the owners mother, is so friendly and polite and makes sure your experience was worth it. The food was some of the best in the area. The French toast is like no other along with the cinnamon butter and maple syrup. Everything is family recipe which makes it ten times better
This was our order of corned beef hash. The meat was deli meat. The cost was $11.50. The potatoes were undercooked and the $5 vegetarian sausage ordered from the menu was turkey bacon.Food was cold.Sadly I should have read the reviews becauseIt appears to be a common issue with this entree. Will never order from here again.
Pathetic! Corned beef hash had just a few tiny pieces of corned beef, and under cooked potatoes. The vegan sausage was missing completely from our to go order. The rest was ok but we’ll choose to eat elsewhere from now on. Sorry but I expect more for the high price we paid.
We waited over 40 minutes for our food it was to burnt to eat I ordered the California Omelette it had two pieces of bacon three pieces of tomato no cream cheese sauce and burnt the one bite I did have tasted like it came off a dirty griddle. The coffee tasted like mud my husbands all meat breakfast was all Grease his eggs burnt to a crisp. Do yourself a favor tri not waste your hard earned money it’s disgusting and owners don’t be so GREEDY if you don’t have enough employees to work keep it closed . Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible would have a feel day with your restaurant. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves serving burnt food to patrons. The table next to us walked out without paying we left a 20.00 because we’re honest people because the man never gave us our check and we were already there an hour and a half.
We were REALLY disappointed in our 2nd visit Heard cool yell “hot food” We were the last table there without their order Waited for at least 7 minutes before it arrived & the potatoes were already less than lukewarm Eggs cool Bagel at room temperature We weren’t even going to address with server because it would’ve done zero Was more important to her to clean up to leave by 2 when they close We arrived there at 12:35 WELL in advance of 2:90 pm Not returning
We keep attempting to give this place the opportunity to redeem themselves only to be seriously disappointed even worse than previous visits. This place could be the only restaurant that can find a way to make pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon completely inedible. Even the coffee tasted bad. I really hate to give bad reviews to locally owned places, but this place can not get it together and we look forward to a new restaurant taking its place someday.
Served me and my date breakfast on dirty plates with old dried food on them. Refused to cook new food after I sent it back. Waiter just said we could leave and not worry about paying for the potatoes that we were left with. Pancakes were also cold on the dirty plate to begin with. No one tried to correct things just said we could leave. Waiter also wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu nor did he have a welcoming personality. Didn’t know what “a la carte”was
The menu sounded so good and exciting for this part of town. After waiting a long time for anyone to take our drink order, we just went to order it all at once. Then to find out the GLUTEN FREE menu is NOT truly gluten free. Just so anyone who needs to know, knows, nothing here is clear of gluten. Everything is cross contaminated. I was happy that our wait person was knowledgable about how things were cooked in a shared environment. I ordered the warm pear salad and then later worried about the heating of the pears! So aside from that ( the reason we decided to try it out) my husband did not fare any better. His food was over and under cooked. My salad was a full size salad and I couldn't even imagine how small a half serving would have been. While it did taste good, I was left hungry since I really couldn't eat anything else on the menu because of the gluten cross contamination. Our wait person was well meaning and nice but the place definitely needs some help. He also told us that many of the things on the menu were not available at the Independence location! Sigh...I am aware things are tough right now but dang...
Parking: Plenty of it!
Corned beef hash had barely any corned beef, no onions, and raw potatoes. A burger was ordered as well that was flavorless and poor quality. I would highly recommend going else where, you can just tell their was no care put into cooking these meals. The server was very nice though.

Cute little restaurant with decent food. They don’t fully understand dairy free, which is frustrating when you have an intolerance. Also, the add on were overpriced for what was ordered. Food was good, but the other issues are concerning. Coffee cup was also questionably dirty
My husband and I stopped there today for breakfast. We will never ever go back. Poor service and the food was cold and tasted like it was left from last week. I ordered the simple fried eggs, potatoes, toast and bacon. The one piece of bacon that i was served was burned. The coffee tasted like it was left from last week. My husband ordered the western omelet. He said it was cold and soggy. The best part of the whole breakfast was the toast.
Great place to come to for breakfast and lunch. If you come early when it first opens it may be hard to find a seat but if you wait till 10:30 you can easily get a seat.
I wanted to like this place because it's a small local business. Unfortunately, the service was slow, they didn't inform us when we ordered that they were out of syrup, and we ordered french toast. The one good thing was the male working (didn't catch his name), who was wiping tables and helping with food. He did a great job.
Be careful about online ordering from here. They took our order at 8am for pickup by 8:25 but they do not open until 9. I am struggling to say anything positive. The staff already seemed overwhelmed at 9am with no customers in the building. I can eat anything and I did not finish my meal. The fresh squeezed orange juice was half water. Everything but the eggs and pancakes were under cooked. Direct quote from my wife: "How do you mess up toast?". I don't think we could ever return.
