The atmosphere is great - service really nice although they may be short staffed. They get so much of the food right - buns, sauces, sides, etc. But the meat itself on the sandwiches is kind of low-quality tasting (burger, chicken) - I feel like if they put more effort into making that high-quality meat charred well (burger) and handmade it would be 100% five star slam dunk.
We're always looking for diners like this when we travel on back roads through Ohio. The Dashing Diner is exactly what we are looking for!
The inside of the diner has lots of things that give it an old-time vibe. It's busy and it's noisy and the servers seem to know everyone who stops in. We love this kind of atmosphere, but it might not be for everyone.

Had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very friendly, the waitresses were on the ball and friendly and the decor was vintage and nostalgic. Will return to visit again.
Kid-friendliness: Children were customers with their parent and they were a joy to have there. Waitresses treated them as regular customers.
