Horrible service. Horrible food. Would not bring my hard earned dollars here. Lady who picks up the phone was specifically bad
Very disappointing. While the interior is very nice, the food leaves a lot to be desired. The hamburger had absolutely no seasoning that I could tell. They are handmade Pattie’s but taste like straight ground beef without anything added. Only finished about half of my tasteless burger. While there were only about a half dozen people there around 3:30pm, the wait staff seemed to be more concerned about hanging out at the hostess area eating chips than keeping an eye on drinks etc. Finally I picked the worst table apparently. The lotto or keno machine next to my table meant burping drunks about a foot behind me and the terminal where orders put in right next to it. People constantly walking behind me, although I thought I had a table where my back was covered.Edit: Since the owner responding essentially calling me a liar, when the guy who is drinking at the bar is then standing behind me and belching that is a burping drunk. Perhaps you need to learn to cook a better product and if you want to call me a liar, please let me know who I need to speak to at the restaurant and we can talk in person. I don’t hide behind a phone or keyboard.
Friendly staff and great pizza!
It’s the “new old horseshoe tavern“. New owner new menu new attitude. Cool little place in downtown Johnstown definitely worth a stop. And Busch latte on tap what more could you ask for?
You can't go wrong with giving this place a try! They have some of the best food I am fond of their jalapeno grits and burgers! great atmosphere, and amazing staff.
D P put a useless review here because they waitress rejected him after he harassed her. Place is incredibly clean and fun atmosphere. 00p
If a dirty dinning area is what you want, this is it. Very low quality food and a poor waiting staff experience. Don't waste your money.
The food at best was bad bar food. I had the hot chicken sandwich. It tasted like the chicken was frozen then fried up. They slapped some sauce on it. The worst hot chicken I have had. The menu was limited. Which I understand. But it was closer to a sub shop then a restaurant. I had never heard anything good about the old place
Unfortunately, this place is bad. The food sucks and the service sucks. Too bad because this town could use another decent restaurant. Instead, it got another pizza shop with a bar. The pizza is worse than Dominos...and the place is dirty.
Limited menu, but very tasty. Good service. We will go back for sure.

New Owners Summer of 2021!!! Great food, service and smiling faces!!! Please give them a try!! You won't regret it!
My husband and I were there for supper. Another customer who we didn't know decided to come from the bar and sit with us and talk. We're pretty friendly people so we let her stay a while. She returned to the bar and sat with another gentleman who had arrived. Those two, the bar tender/waitress and the two of us were the only persons in the restaurant. For some reason she turned to us and asked us if we liked Trump. We said yes at which point she said "f-Trump" and gave us her middle finger. No one called her on it, or said anything remarkable. Needless to say, we will never return and have told anyone and everyone about our experience. We moved here about two years ago and were looking for a cool place to dine at and bring our friends. So glad Ghostwriter has come to town.
Stopped in for dinner with my wife. Wonderful place. Very nice setting and the staff was wonderful. Had a couple of the burgers and some potato skins.
Great atmosphere, good food. We tried the grilled chicken, spaghetti and wings. Everything was wonderful. The service was great. Will definitely be back.
Stopped by Memorial Day Sunday with our children. Was greeted by the waitress that there was about a 45 minute wait. A customer setting at a booth said more like 1 1/2 hour wait. All the tables and booths were not even full. Not sure why the long wait. We asked the waitress if we could place an order and walk around the square as there was a flea market set up there. She said that would be great and I told her we all ready knew what we wanted. She left us standing at the bar for more than 10 minutes running around the restaurant. It seemed as though she just had gotten there because she had her Cross body purse on opened running around the restaurant. We frequent this establishment at least 4 times a year and every time it seems to get worse. We had high expectations this time due to a very publizied event going on and there are people that come from all over to visit Johnstown this particular weekend. needless to say we never ordered and followed the customers out of the restaurant that had waited for 1 1/2 both families hungry.
