Cory was amazing to work with. Everything was planned out great, communication was great, and the food was even better. If you are considering a caterer or doing a hog roast, they are a must call!

We hired this company with the vision of creating a unique, elevated BBQ-style menu for our wedding, including a mac and cheese bar served in martini glasses during cocktail hour, premium toppings, lemonade and coffee service, and a progressive flow from apps to dinner. We spent months planning every detail and were excited to offer something that felt both fun and elevated for our guests.

Unfortunately, many of those promised elements were missing. The mac and cheese bar was never served during cocktail hour, and the cocktail offerings were limited to just steak bites and stuffed mushrooms—very different from what we discussed and expected. I was also disappointed to hear that fruit and veggies, which were meant for cocktail hour, were instead served with dinner. And despite making it clear that I did not want beets on the menu, they were still included. These missed details added up, especially given the significant investment of a little less than $10,000 and the amount of time spent planning.

That said, I do want to recognize the catering staff who worked our event. They were kind, professional, and worked incredibly hard throughout the day. While I was not a fan of working with the owner during the planning process, I want to give credit to the team who really pulled through and kept things running on the day of.

Ultimately, I can’t say I would recommend this caterer for couples looking for highly customized menus or seamless execution, but I’m grateful to the staff who showed up and worked hard to serve our guests.

Smoke Seitz catered our party for 50 in May. We chose the tailgate package, which included pulled pork from a whole smoked hog and side dishes. Every bite was absolutely delicious!!!!! We were so impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Corey and Miranda were so nice and so easy to work with. We highly recommend Smoke Seitz to cater your next party!

Went out towards Johnstown today to check in on a Food Truck that just recently started back up again. Maddie’s Mean Meats/Smoke Seitz. At the corner of Rt 62 and Duncan Plains Rd NW. Ordered the Sampler Platter and Brisket Chili. The pork and brisket were super moist with a nice mild smoky flavor. Cory is using a oak/hickory/cherry mix of wood which gives a super mild flavor. The Brisket Chili is something new which is totally off the chart. The cheesy potatoes with onions, green and red potatoes was sooo good. This is definitely a Food Truck worth visiting.

We had Seitz cater our casual wedding reception. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Cory responded to questions timely and clearly. The team at our event was great. Our guests raved over the smoked pig and smoked chicken. We wish we had more leftovers, but everyone ate it all!
