Local Hotspot that has a history. We ate at the tavern in back which has a great atmosphere with the same menu as the golden lamb. Bartender and Mickenna gave us great service at the bar. Lamb burger had great flavor along with a house creamy balsamic. How about a chateaubriand for one??!! Never seen that as it is usually for two or more. Sourkraut balls are a must try as well but skip the cocktail sauce that is served with it and opt for a creamy sauce. Overall if you find yourself in Lebanon try this place first.

We stopped in for dinner. My salad was the the traditional that I always enjoy with little apple slices and cheese on top. And the rolls come with apple butter from Irons fruit farm. Its so yummy. He had jumbo shrimp that came with a mustard sauce. You may want to swap that for cocktail sauce. And he got the golden salad because he likes beets. The beets were very good, but the apricots were a bit dry. This is unusual that anything is less than excellent here. And we didn't mention it to our waitress, we just hurried along instead of giving them a chance to make it right. Normally i give 5 stars here because the food is so good!

Sat at the bar last night for a fantastic dinner with two friends (7:45pm)I had the classic Turkey dinner which is always a treat !The young lady behind the bar could not have been nicer! - fantastic personality - beautiful smile - she provided not only incredible service but she created simply stated “ a great time for me and the boys”Thank you to her and the team last nightWhat a great experience!See you all soonCheers !

We eat here often and have zero complaints. From the time we are seated until we leave, we continue to be impressed. I do agree with one reviewer who said it would be nice to have some different items on the menu but that's not a criticism.My husband, our family and friends will continue to dine here.Enough said! ?

A good time at Black Tavern, great service, festive spirit friendly bar service. Then it went south. Had 5:30 reservation for annual Christmas dining...with family. Seating downstairs.. 7 of us. Serve took care of drinks/water, brought bread. Then brought more bread. Then more waiting....it was 7:10 before food arrived. We had plenty of time to share..but this was out of line...finished up by 7:45 ish, took some pictures; overall a "good" time. Server was fine..but Golden Lamb needs a Kitchen Manager ( better plan)to handle food quality(temperature), and 1.5 hours to get the food out is not acceptable. NOT the experience it had been in the past. 95% of the time I find local restaurants wonderful.. this was a total surprise, especially after wonderful, and delightful visits in the past. Hopefully better next time as we enjoy having our Christmas Eve dinner here.

The evening at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Despite arriving promptly at 7:30 pm on a Friday, we waited for 6 minutes without anyone seating us, opting for the bar where service was sluggish. It took 10 more minutes for an inattentive server to take our order. The wait for our meals exceeded an hour, accompanied by sporadic apologies from a different server. Regrettably, the food did not redeem the experience; the salmon was both overcooked and cold. It's a shame, given the establishment's rich ambiance and legacy as a fine dining experience, notably tied to The Golden Lamb. The crux of the issue lies with the manager, whose incompetence and lack of oversight tainted the entire dining experience. From the disorganized seating to the indifferent service and ultimately appalling food quality. Contacting the manager the same evening, it was evident that the leadership is woefully lacking. She not only failed to address the numerous issues but seemed wholly disinterested, cementing their role as the primary source of the evening's disappointments.

I went on a Saturday night with a friend around 8 PM, I loved the holiday decor here and our server was very friendly! In my opinion, the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. The Golden Lamb Farms Platter was interesting, the ham and peaches were great. The short rib grilled cheese was good, and the tomato bisque was a little below average for my taste.
