Stars!! We went to another restaurant for a party of six and they’d put us in a booth (with an infant in a chair in a busy walkway) we decided to change our reservation to SOB and explained our previous reservation. They put us in a private room which was amazing. Christoph checked in on us often and was VERY accommodating. This was my fifth time dining here and every time has been great but this particular visit meant a lot to us and our group. Can’t recommend enough

Went with a group of six, food came out quick and hot, but a lil pricey for what we got. Food quality was great and service was amazing, but for 300$ (for just me and the wife) we expected more. Great special occasion place but only for the experience. 9/10

Set some reservations for the night. Ended up sitting at bar. Glad I did. Jamie and Bri were great in there. Definitely a great meal and the drinks were awesome! Had the Trio of Steak and I was impressed! Wagyu A5 is the Best I have had! Will definitely be back! Thank you for the night!

Before moving away to Asia (plus our anniversary), we wanted a great meal - specifically, a mean steak and SOB in Ohio was the perfect choice!

We started with Brussels sprouts, which were delicious with a hint of sweetness, and two salads: the Caesar and the Baby Wedge. For our main course, we had the Porterhouse steak, cooked perfectly medium rare. As someone who is very particular about steak, I can say SOB really knows how to make it right - the steak was tender, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot.

The interior of the restaurant is stylish, giving the place a great ambiance. We made reservations, and even though it wasn’t very busy during the weekday, we were seated immediately. The staff and our server were very friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience.

Overall, everything was excellent. Just note that if you plan to order appetizers, drinks, and a steak, you should expect to spend around $100 per person. A fantastic spot in Ohio for steak lovers

Called to get a dinner reservation for 11 people but was told that for any reservation over 8 people an event space contract would be required. Can you believe that? In other words I would have to commit to a certain dollar amount being spent in food and beverage, when it’s just a simple birthday dinner where everyone would be paying for their own food and beverages. I asked “so you’re just going to allow 11 people to walk away and go somewhere else because your tables can’t accommodate more than 8 people”? I was bluntly told yes. How rude. And what a stupid policy anyway. I’ve never heard of such a thing for 11 people. It’s not like it’s 30. We’ve been to the bar in SOB a lot but have never eaten full meals there. The bar staff has been more than great, and we met Courtney, the sous chef, in there one night when she was on a date night. She was wonderful and told us to ask for her when we came into eat. We tried Courtney!

I reserved this place for an early Mother's Day dinner because of all the good reviews. On the way to our table, our receptionist proudly told us that it was a sister restaurant to Agave and Rye. I should've done a 180 right there upon hearing that!

Our waiter was very pushy about the expensive steak items, even bringing out an uncooked steak, showing the marbling and SELLING us these steaks like a door-to-door salesman.

My 7 year old son's $20 Mac and Cheese was flavorless except for the bacon bits; he hardly touched it (This kid LOVES Mac and Cheese, home-made/boxed/restaurant he doesn't discriminate). My $25 Wagyu Burger was mushy, grainy, unseasoned, disguisting. My still-hungry-son took a bite off my burger and was grossed out (This kid LOVES burgers). In the end, the whole family ended up taking bites off of my wife's $50+ Sea Bass which was the only decent thing we ordered.

Our waiter was very sparse when he figured we weren't there for the big ticket items.

But hey, at least we got cool pictures thanks to the decorations!

Stay away from this place and Agave and Rye. It seems their gimmick is to spend money upfront on a cool looking restaurant, and then overcharge mediocre food to make up for the investment.

Our server Demi was amazing. We were there for our wedding anniversary. She made us feel so special paying attention to every small detail. She was always smiling. She described the menu in great detail answering any questions we had. I would recommend her and SOB to anyone looking for a special eating experience.

This was our first time here. Menu is very extensive and hard to decide what to get from all the amazing items, but what we did get was AMAZING!!! Our server Brennan was even better! Recommendations were spot-on, and he took great care of us without interrupting our meal at any point! Thank you Brennan!! We'll definately be back in the future!!

My wife and I recently dined here to celebrate her birthday. We had a great experience. The food was delicious, staff was great, and ambiance/environment was really cool.

Diving in on the food, everything was delicious with the exception of two items (still good, just maybe more pickiness). The deviled eggs could have used a little more mayo in the mixture. We’re used to Grammy’s deviled eggs so may be a little critical of any that aren’t hers. I got the bone marrow butter topper for my steak and it had tasted as though it had some citrus in it. I wasn’t a fan of that and I don’t typically care for lemon in most of my food.

Ambiance was really cool as the whole place was pretty artsy and decorated very nicely.

Most of the staff signed a birthday card for my wife which was a nice touch.

The price point for being a steakhouse wasn’t terrible.

We recommend Son of a Butcher!

This was a nice restaurant. We went there during restaurant week. This was a nice way to be introduced to this restaurant. I had received reviews on this restaurant from others and I would have to say that I agree with them. Good food, nice atmosphere and staff is very welcoming as well.
