Best meal of my life. I’m gonna kidnap the chef and make them cook for me the rest of my life.

The place is loud so don't expect to have a quiet evening. Had the filet, was good but not great. Tuna poke from the Raw Bar had more filler (pineapple) than actual tuna. Service was poor, waited about 25 minutes for dessert.

This is my favorite restaurant of ALL TIME.

Every time we come here, it’s like ordering a piece of heaven and placing it on your tongue. The menu is often changing, but keeps staple classics. They are currently out of the coconut lime cookies, they rotated them out, but I called two weeks prior to my reservation and they told me they could make them for me.

They are always going above and beyond, always putting their best foot forward, and always serving up the most delicious meal I have ever had.

I have had plate options that were $30, and I’ve had plate items for $150. I love the variety in items so that there is always something to fit everyone’s budget. The desserts are creative and delicious, too. I feel like everywhere has affogato and tiramisu, but SOB goes far beyond the normal to deliver something unique, delicious, and artistic to your table.

It’s just excellent, I recommend it to everyone I know and can’t wait to return again.

A Perfect Anniversary Evening at SOB. A Culinary Experience to Remember

My wife and I chose SOB for our anniversary dinner during restaurant week, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we were seated, everything was exceptional, especially our server, Mindy, whose warmth, professionalism, and joyful presence elevated the entire evening.

Though not included in the restaurant week menu, we couldn’t resist starting with the Prime Rib Wellington Eggrolls: shaved prime rib paired with truffle mushroom duxelles, all wrapped in a delicate puff pastry and drizzled with horseradish Dijon cream and a rich red wine demi. It was a risk we’re thrilled we took. Easily one of the best appetizers I’ve ever tasted.

For our first course, we both selected the Million Dollar Deviled Eggs, adorned with sweet and spicy bacon, pickle, and gold leaf. While the gold leaf was more aesthetic than functional, the eggs themselves were packed with flavor and beautifully balanced.

The entrées were nothing short of stellar. My wife’s 6 oz filet mignon was cooked to perfection, served with velvety parmesan whipped potatoes, crispy onion straws, and tender asparagus. I opted for the seared salmon, which was perfectly crisped on the outside and tender within, served atop a sweet corn crème brûlée, with a sundried tomato vinaigrette and roasted bell pepper relish. Both dishes stood out as among the finest versions we've ever had, and we've had many.

For dessert, we both chose the Strawberry Cheesecake Crème Brûlée, and it exceeded every expectation: strawberry custard with a perfectly torched sugar crust and ribbons of cheesecake swirl. Simplydivine. As a surprise, the staff brought us a complimentary anniversary dessert to share. It was lovely and appreciated, though the crème brûlée remained the undisputed star of the sweet course.

From start to finish, our evening at SOB was flawless. The food was thoughtful and exquisite, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. We left full, happy, and already planning our return. Truly a five-star experience in every way.

We had such a great experience at SOB! The environment is gorgeous. We sat on their newer patio and it was beautiful - cover reed with fans and had gorgeous plants and fresh flowers on every table. The big doors opened up to give it an indoor / outdoor feel. Our server provided great recommendations and was really great. The drinks did take a little bit of time but worth it because they’re all super freshly made. Best shrimp cocktail I think I’ve ever had! We had a NY strip and Chilean sea bass. 10/10.

Went for restaurant week and was excited to try. Very cool place inside with a cool vibe. I heard good things about SOB from others but was disappointed. Service was a little slow but it was somewhat crowded so i didn't mind. I started with the Caesar salad, then had the filet with mashed potatoes that lacked any flavor and ended with strawberry creme brulée , which i also didn't care for. The best part of my meal was my drink so not sure i would return. I really wanted to love this place.

My wife and I, along with two friends, visited Son of a Butcher for Restaurant Week, excited to try a place that’s usually on the pricier side thanks to the special deals. Unfortunately, our experience started off on a sour note.

When we arrived, our server never mentioned the Restaurant Week menu. When we brought it up ourselves, he seemed clearly uninterested and even tried to steer us away from it—mentioning that the portions were smaller and implying we wouldn’t really want it. We understood what was going on: the menu items were half the price, so it felt like he didn’t want us to order them. That attitude came across as frustrating and a bit off-putting.

That said, the food itself was absolutely outstanding—we were all really impressed by the quality. Also, the two managers who were walking around checking in with guests were excellent. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and treated us like valued first-time customers, not like we were cutting corners with the special menu.

We’d come back based on the food and management alone, but the service experience with our server needs some work. A little more respect for customers—regardless of what they order—would go a long way.

Do yourself a favor, GET THE CRAB CAKE! it's the best I've ever had. This was my second time here. Last time, I had never had truffles and covered everything in them. It really wasn't worth the money. They also didn't have dry ice for the black forest dessert. The Mac and cheese was sub par. This time I had a completely different experience. The wagyu and king crab was phenomenal. The chilean Sea bass was amazing. Reading it on the menu, I questioned the chefs take on it, and learned why he's the chef and I am not. It was fanatic. Get the go bananas, catching food on fire it's just fun. Plus delicious. Once again CRAB CAKE! Get the wagyu crab meal, too. I want to try everything, but I'm feeling like it won't happen after eating these. I almost canceled dinner and just ordered 3 more crab cakes.

Logan was great and the food was incredible! He was so knowledgeable about the menu and able to give us a top tier experience! The food was so flavorful and rich in all their different and wonderful ways! 10000000/10 experience! The music was a little loud for me who gets overstimulated a bit easy by that but once we were eating, the sounds didn’t even matter; your tastebuds are going wild! Thanks Logan!
