Great food & service! We sat outside which was nice - but the flies were a little bothersome. I guess that's to be expected in an outdoor environment. A little pricey, but expected since there's not many restaurants in the area. We would definitely go again. Much better than most State Park restaurant food.

It took over 20 minutes and someone who was not a waitstaff person to stop by our table. It took another 40 minutes to get our food. It is a beautiful space and beautiful views, but will try another place next time we are in Hocking Hills.

Our meal was not good, fries and hamburger was burnt, extremely slow. We had a much better experience in May. The menu changed and not for the better. Very expensive for what we received. Very disappointed.

The menu could be expanded or offer specials to have more variety. We had the burgers one night and then the salmon and pork chops the next night. The food came out hot, had good flavor but were all a bit overcooked. Servers were great and kept checking on us. I would eat there again.

Staff was friendly, conveniently located inside the Hocking Hills lodge. I've seen some negative reviews about wait times but our wait staff was great and food was awesome after a 14 mile hike! Would definitely recommend!

This restaurant has aspirations above its abilities. The food is fine. The service is eager but untrained. The ambiance- view, architecture, decor - far out shines the restaurant itself, unfortunately. I asked for a Manhattan up to start. The didn't have sweet vermouth, so the manager suggested the use red wine as a substitute!! Chardonnay it is. Our appetizer came out in a timely manner and was tasty - whipped Brie with honey and fresh fruit. Our entrees took 30 minutes to come out, but our server did check on us several times. My salmon was very overcooked, but my husband enjoyed his quinoa bowl. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. It just wasn't stellar.

The Lodge and its Rock Hall Restuarant are beautiful, modern and rustic at the same time. Windowed or outdoor seating overlooking the wooded hills. I ordered the pork chop, which was nicely cooked, not overdone. The plate was 50%, no more like 60%, broccoli. Small scoop of mashed potatoes. Corn bread had cinnamon in it, okay if you like that kind of twist. The meal was good overall, a little pricey, but the broccoli market may be up right now. Young staff was friendly and accommodating. (Sorry for the left-over broccoli.)

This is low end bar food dressed up in a nice lounge. Hamburger over cooked and not worth 1/2 of what it cost. Ribeye was over cooked & over priced. Would not recommend for a nice dinner.

I received my salmon dinner in less than 10 minutes. This tells me and was reflected in the food quality that my meal came out of changing dishes or a warmer. The salmon was over cooked and dry. We paid four star pricing and given a two star meal. Way overpriced!!! Service was good but that is because the restaurant was pretty empty. Now I know why.

Beautiful surroundings. Bar was great. Service at the bar was great. Seated for our 7PM reservation, ordered and left at 7:55 when we still had not received our food. Our waiter refilled our water and then ghosted us. I cannot rate the food as we never ate.

We spent a lovely evening on the deck eating a delicious dinner! We ordered the pulled pork platter with sides and ate almost every bite! Our server, Josie, was wonderful! She answered our questions and provided excellent recommendations when asked. Beautiful setting, delicious food, and great service! We couldn't ask for better!

This restaurant has the opportunity to be so much better. I get that everyone is understaffed, but service was painfully slow ie 35 minutes to get a drink? They were out of numerous menu options, and when we did order our food came before we got silverware/napkins. We ate in the outdoor dining area and which was nice, but in the late summer there needs to be a way to deal with the yellow jackets that want to share your meal. Dessert wasn't even mentioned by our server, yet I heard other tables discussing their orders. Overall it was not a good experience and would not recommend it.

My husband and I were disappointed in the food choices, food and service. We had dinner two times and breakfast once. They were very limited on times for reservations, the restaurant was not full so it appeared to me they were just short staffed. I worked in Human Resources for a restaurant so I understand the difficulty in hiring, training and retaining staff these days. I would recommend Rockhouse focus on a little additional training of the staff they have and increase the quality and preparation of the food. The food and service were adequate but not what you would expect for the price. The restaurant is beautiful and loved sitting outside.
