Got here on a weeknight about 6pm and it was dead. That might’ve been a clue (it is off season for Hocking Hills), but it filled up with customers as we ate. I love soft pretzels with a draft beer, but I was dismayed that they had a garlic butter coating. My wife thought it was amazing, and complimented the queso well-which, to my surprise, it did! The buffalo chili was good as well. She got the chicken Philly, which was good and huge. We took it back to the cabin and had plenty for dinner the next night. She got a large portion of fries, and a pretty good Mac & cheese. I was intrigued by the meatloaf; and yes, the “red sauce” is ketchup. Not bad though-something you’d make at home for dinner. Service was good, beer was cold. Overall, a nice place I’d eat at again.

Terrible wait staff, no one acknowledged us for at least 15 minutes after we were seated and we were the only 4 adults seated in the dining area. Food was mediocre. Ordered soup and it was so thick I could have used it for cement. Tried to order a grilled cheese to go with my soup and the waitress said “ unless you are under 12yo I’ll have to charge you $14.99! Ridiculous!! The place has potential to be awesome but obviously they don’t care about food quality or decent waitstaff! Will never waste my money eating there again.

12/30/25 update: We've actually been here quite a few times. Our server today, Heath, was great. He made sure that we were well taken care of. I had the Buffalo Meatloaf and it was really good. My wife had her usual, the Monte Cristo, and loved it, as usual. We both went for the blackberry pie and were happy that we did.

Came here for the first time and last time. We came in early and only two tables were full. It was a completely empty, no hostess no waitress. We waited 5 minutes to be seated, the girl who seated us was nice and no fault of her own. She was the only one working. She was bartending, hostessing. The waitress and the food runner. I ordered a bacon burger and what came was a regular burger. Food was good. But what killed it was the $4.01 tax and a $1.60 surcharge. For using a normal debit card. When LOTS of other places only surcharge for credit cards. NEVER coming back to a place that likes to rip off their customers

Easy place to stop for a bite to eat. We have a family of 5 (3 children). After seeing portion sizes, next time we go back we anticipate ordering two appetizer samplers to split between the five of us. Enough food plus money savings.

My husband I went here during our anniversary vacation and had a great meal, and a lot of fun throwing axes. There is a great gift shop between the restaurant and axe throwing. The staff were very friendly and helpful since we have never been.
