This was an unexpected amazing experience. We stopped in while traveling from Athens back to Dayton. They food exceeded our expectations and the prices were great. I had biscuits and gravy and commented that it was the best I may have never had. I didn’t even consider reaching for any salt or pepper. The chef obviously cares about what they put on the table. 10/10.

2025 update review: We’ve been visiting Hocking Hills annually for the past 18 years. We usually go once around Valentine’s Day and then have a family and friends trip in late summer or early fall. One of my fondest memories is when Pearl surprised us in a chicken costume. We even made it a tradition to visit Pearls every time, even when she was located at a different place. It seems like every time we visit, the situation deteriorates.
Today, I was served water with something unpleasant in it. Almost like dirty dishwater or cleaner. I asked the server to sniff it and identify the substance so I could be aware of what I had consumed, but she refused. Now, a few hours later, I’m still feeling extremely nauseous. Needless to say, we will never be returning to this establishment again.
Food was excellent, and staff was very friendly. They were very busy and didn't have a large staff, but the wait wasn't much more than going to the boring nationwide corporate alternative owned by "Bob" across the parking lot. Very much recommend you give it a try!
