Unfortunately we had a bad experience from this poorly managed restaurant from start to finish. We arrived at 5:15pm and the lights went out for 10 minutes. Hard to read the menus in the dark. Wasn't busy, maybe 6 other tables being served. After we ordered, the food took an hour to come out. Other tables that came in after us got served. My son ordered his steak medium. It came out cold and rare. We asked to cook it longer and they wanted to charge us for another steak even though my son didn't even take a bite but that was their policy (even if they mess up.) We asked for a manager and he apologized but made excuses saying they are slammed busy. Buuuuut they weren't busy when we ordered. The manager did make my son another steak and made that part right, but it should have never came to that. Unfortunately, the Prime Rib is not very good and that's what me and my wife ate. They charge extra for horseradish sauce too. Our bill was $210 including tip. Definitely not worth it. Family of 5. 3 kids. 1 had a kids meal.

Stayed at lodge and dined here several times. Food quality is good and sometimes great. Wings were a tasty small plate. Portions are very large especially pasta. Prices are high for a lodge environment and alcohol prices very high for small pours. Service was short-handed but made up for it with caring and personality. Seating is one open room with close tables so private conversation is challenging. Acoustics also carry noise poorly so table talks echo. Outdoor dining better in fair weather months and there are great views. Overall a good dining experience but not quite a great one.

Our food was barely warm and our server needed reminders for the things we asked for. Enjoyed the decor and our drinks though!

Service was average. Drinks were fast to arrive but food took forever. Two people in our group didn’t receive their food until after some of us had already finished our meals. One of us ordered prime rib, it was not prime rib. It was definitely a chuck roast from the looks of it, but at prime rib price. Considering the quality of food and service one of two things needs to happen: lower your prices to reflect the lack in quality or make major improvements to the quality of both service and food served.

I don’t know if I would recommend the Lodge or not. I just arrived. I went into the room and the heat was off. I went to the desk and requested another room. She checked 4 other rooms. They were all off. I can’t have been the only one to check in. Hopefully they turn the heat on for others. I had planned on showering before our reservation at 6 for dinner. So I sat in lobby for 1 1/2 hour. Not a good start😢
Best state park Thanksgiving Buffet yet. It's our third year going to different state parks and we will be returning to Hocking Hills

4 adults and no one was enjoyed their meal. Only compliment we was that we enjoyed the texture of the fries. The Italian wedding soup was not good & the size/pricing is a joke. My husband ordered a cup & I ordered a bowl. Same size but in two different looking “cups” & mine cost $2 more. The food runner handed them to us & said “cup” of soup for both. I told the waitress mine was supposed to be a bowl she said “that is” in a way that she is often asked. Change it. The soup was also so gross to eat because the noodles were complete mush. Wouldn't eat there again.
Delicious food, we have eaten there breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 days. Every meal was fabulous!

We were told the food was ok quality and the portions large. We left disappointed and cancelled our reservations for the remaining nights. Food was just not good. Burger overcooked and not flavorful. Salmon undercooked and also not tasty. Salad greens were showing their age. We'll drive 25 to 45 minutes to find something better.

For my first experience eating at the restaurant I was very disappointed. The food was less than mediocre. I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and a cup of soup. The chicken and dumpling soup was very thick and all I could taste was the flour they must have used to thicken it. The chicken tenders were burnt and black. It was actually gross to look at. I tried eating some but I had to scrape the coating off because it was burnt to a crisp. The chicken itself was white meat but very tough. I ended up leaving most on my plate. I did try the breakfast the following morning and it was excellent. Waitress was pleasant and waited on us quickly.
It was great at breakfast and the dinner service was terrible

The hubby and I came for a wedding this weekend and everything was spectacular! The bartenders Susan and Amelia really made the event so fun! We will definitely be back to stay soon . Thanks

The service and atmosphere were wonderful, but $19 for a cocktail seems outrageous. I ordered a Margaretta with no special tequila, which was the worst Margaretta, I ever had, sour with an awful flavor that tasted like dust. I think they forgot to add the triple sec, so I added a little sugar and water, which made it drinkable. As a former bartender, I could make my own for less than a buck and was very surprised by the bill. Make that $25 with tax and tip--ridiculous.
