We are from out of town coming back from vacation in Hocking Hills. Stopped for lunch and drinks. Had a great meal of the chef's feature, Halibut. The drinks, food and atmosphere was amazing. The best part was our waitress, Taylor. She was so much fun and knowledgeable of the menu. We plan on coming back for a day trip. Thank you for a great experience 😊

If you have food allergies — especially celiac — skip Butcher Block and save yourself the stress. When I asked about gluten-free options, the staff looked at me like I was speaking another language. Zero understanding of cross-contamination or basic allergy safety, which is honestly dangerous in a restaurant setting. When I tried to explain, I was met with eye rolls and rushed answers, like I was being difficult just for asking.
The servers were rude, impatient, and clearly not interested in helping. It felt more like a chore for them to take our order than part of their job. The food was fine, nothing special, but it’s hard to enjoy a meal when you’re worried about getting sick and treated like a burden.
Really nice steakhouse in a smaller town. The melted marshmallow martini is worth the trip by itself.

We had a family dinner here tonight sitting at the bar. Bar tender was good. Cheese Curds where good. I had the New York Strip Steak, ok at best. Steak had no flavor and the fries where bad (cold, overcooked, no seasoning and zero flavor). My son had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich had no flavor and more breading then chicken, also fries where bad. My wife had the Smoked Chicken Cobb Salad and it was pretty good and super large portion. Overall dissapointed with what we got, specially for the money we paid.
Parking: parking is plenty and close to the restaurant

My workplace had us come here for a get together. Honestly the food was very good and the presentation of it was fantastic. Very good service.
Atmosphere is wonderful. Service was great. I had crusted salmon on asparagus (for $34 the salmon was small portion, sauce was tasty, asparagus was better than other reviews). Wife had burger w. chip and she enjoyed them. I was shocked the bread was an up charge. This was actually our second time here and previous experience wasn’t much better and hoped for better this time. We will be returning.
