After the sticker shock of the steaks and other entrees, we opted for a personal favorite - the French dip sandwich. We were offered an upgrade to fries from the default "house-made" BBQ potato chips. We declined as I am a fan of homemade chips. I opted also for a cup of lobster bisque. The soup turned out to be the highlight of the meal.Solid savory bisque and a good quantity of lobster. The sandwiches, though, were fatty and neither of us finished ours. The au jus was fine. I even tried dipping the overly coated and at least a day-old chips in it for SOME flavor...after all, the plate was loaded with the chips. It did not help.Well-prepared food is a joy. Our experience at the Butcher Block was not.

The food really bad, none of the food was like it was before. Food very bland, and undesirable. Service was awesome, felt bad for the waitress.

Lacey is amazing! Made it feel so homey and fun. Came in with my parents after they have mentioned Lacey, Amanda, and Nick and it was beyond me! Such a fun atmosphere and relaxing! Such a wonderful and loving staff. Truly feel apart of the family here at Butcher Block ?

The food and waitress were excellent. The live music was way too loud. For people trying to dine and have a discussion, it was impossible due to the volume of the musicians.Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly. The Kids menu was expensive. A hotdog was $9. No kids cups with lids, just large water glasses.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility was good. Several patrons were there using wheelchairs and walkers.

We went for Valentine’s Day for the first time. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good. It was busy so we had to wait, but that wasn’t a big deal as it was Valentine’s weekend and we expected it to be that way. The food was the problem. We tried two appetizers, the deviled eggs and the glazed pork belly. They were just ok. The pork belly was better than the deviled eggs, but still not worth $12. My husband got the New York strip with the au gratin potatoes as a side. The steak was supposed to be 12 oz but was probably about 8 oz. And the potatoes were such a small portion! I was shocked when we were served. Other steak houses charge similar prices for their sides but you get significantly more. I got the chicken Alfredo pasta and the other couple we were with got the shrimp tacos. Again the portion sizes were small, and it honestly tasted as if everything came from GFS. The au gratin potatoes were simply awful. They were cold and tasted like boxed potatoes with cream of something soup. Betty Crocker from the grocery store honestly tastes better. The shrimp tacos were also cold. The Alfredo pasta ok, but the chicken looked and tasted as if it came from the freezer section of the store. I’m happy to pay for a quality meal if the food is good. But after $90 for a meal that could have come from Golden Corral….i don’t think so. Maybe they were having a bad night….but we won’t be going again.

Atmosphere was great. Food was delicious. Would like to see a little more selection but it's a nice change of pace here in London.

Seems like they spent a lot on the building, then bought all the furnishings off Amazon (appeared cheap). Then they hired 20yr old cooks and staff from the local diners. Unprofessional looking and poor attention to tables' needs (ours and around us). We found parchment paper in our au graten potatoes and saw a table next to us pull something from their mouth in disgust, as well.Great selection of whiskey, al beit over priced. Tried charging $56 for one ounce pour of a bottle that costs $100.Dinner cost right at $100 for two people - I got (1) 1oz pour of a $14 whiskey and pregnant wife got a mocktail. I would've got more whiskey had the server came back before dinner was served.I'd go back to sit at the bar and try whiskeys, but not to dine in.

The Butcher Block is my favorite restaurant. The food is exceptional. But the staff is even more exceptional. The manager, Dillon is so much fun. He is so happy and watching him multi-task is an experience in itself. I am so glad you are here Butcher Block. You are an asset to the community. ❤️
