I didn't say anything while I was there, because it was our anniversary and my husband's idea to go to The Copper Mug, Bar and Grille. But, I do have to say that I was disappointed in the whole experience. To start, we were constantly fighting gnats from the time we sat down until we left. I suggested to my husband that we ask for another table and he said they would probably follow us. With all the pictures they have online, I thought for sure that the restaurant was inside the castle. It is not. The ambience was not what I was expecting at all. The restaurant actually looks like a diner inside and out. It doesn't even remind me of a bar & grill. I expected the meal to be expensive and it was. However, the meal overall; in my opinion, did not fit the price. All in all, I am pretty sure we won't go back.
Overall the food and drinks were very good. Both of our dishes were a little heavy on the sauce/gravy but the flavor was good. There were gnats flying around at both meals we ate there so that was a bit annoying and concerning but I would go back for sure!
We visited the Copper Mug Bar & Grille at Landoll's Mohican Castle and had such a great experience! We went for dinner on Halloween night, which was super fun — they had a festive drink menu and such a warm, lively atmosphere. The service was absolutely outstanding — every person we interacted with was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food was delicious both times we went (we came back for breakfast a couple days later because we enjoyed it so much!). The menu had great variety and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The only small downside was that the ambience, while charming and full of character, was a bit dusty with all the knick-knacks on the walls, and there were a few fruit flies around. Still, that's a very minor note — overall, we were blown away by the hospitality and quality here. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Service was awful. Took an hour and a half to get bread and an hour forty five to get dinner. Food was ok but wouldn't go back based off experience
We had a reservation for lunch at noon for 9. Our server did an outstanding job and the food was delicious. 7 of our party had never been here before and were very impressed with the entire property and ambience. Keep up the great work!
Food delicious and nice variety. Not super expensive. Casual but charming dining room. Very friendly server. Fantastic dessert selection.
Get the short ribs! They did not disappoint. Cozy atmosphere, good drinks. We were pleasantly surprised as our expectations were not that high. Figured we would get a mediocre meal and service and instead had excellent food and service!
The ambience is fantastic with the castle on the grounds. I had high hopes for dinner at the Copper Mug. The interior of the restaurant is interesting and inviting. The table of diners in the corner near us had requested a second helping of rolls. After a day of hiking, I was excited to get some rolls. But, none were offered or mentioned by our server. Even though I saw them being delivered to other tables and set out on a huge tray for the event being held in the back room. I ordered my entree and our server did not mention the side salad that was supposed to come with it. I should have asked about it but thought I would just enjoy my pasta instead. Nope. The noodles for the pesto pasta were not cooked long enough and there was a puddle of oil at the bottom of my pasta bowl. Ironically, some rolls would have been helpful to soak that up. After I finished eating, our server returned and said she had forgotten my salad and would I want to eat it after my meal? When I said no, she put it in a to go container and gave it to me with our bill. When I made the reservation, I indicated that it was for a special occasion. I would have hoped that some consideration for our anniversary would have been made during our experience but it was not.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because they took filet off the menu. The service and everything else was great.
Good food and service at Copper Mug. Issue with their reservation system though and Open Table thought we were no shows but we really did eat there. Annoying that I have to dispute this with Open Table.

The food was really bad. It was trying to be fancy, but the look and taste was horrible. For the price it should have been good.
We were there for our 35th anniversary dinner. The server had too many tables to cover. We were neglected for the whole meal. We couldn't get the server's attention to ask for condiments or water refill. The server did not ever come to check on how we were doing, but she did apologize at the end of our visit for being overworked. The food was actually not that good. The potatoes were cold and lumpy.
I'll start with the positive... the food was great! Good portion, hot, well prepared. Fun location to eat, clean and comfortable. That's where it ends.... 25 minutes from sit down til waitress appeared, over 30 minutes to get water, food well over an hour, never got bread, salads came after dinner was complete, 2/3 plates had wrong items on them, so the fix well after the meal as well. No refills offered asked 2 times for more water, never came, ended up going to bar and getting a pitcher myself. Manager asked what they could do, simply asked for a salad to go container, 20 mins passes without that or a check.. had to track down for that. Guy behind us dashed because same server wouldn't bring a bill. Other people on ghost walk with us same experience, it's a shame, the food was so good.
Always a beautiful place to eat. Enjoy going here when wanting the “off the beaten path” ambiance with the beautiful landscaping.
We had a great first visit! The charcuterie board was the best part! We also ordered the short rib melt, french dip and steak fries and everything was great!
